Fang Xinxin made for a powerful sight as she led a crowd of bodyguards into the room. She saw that Long Jingyuan’s forehead was covered in blood and his complexion was pale, as though he had already stopped breathing.

She immediately felt nervous to the point where her heart began pounding loudly.

For some reason, though she did not interact much with Long Jingyuan, she was terrified that he would die.

It was as though she would lose someone very important if he died. She couldn’t identify the reason behind the strong sense of uncertainty that had overtaken her.

She quickly approached the bed and shoved Bai Jingrou aside. She checked Long Jingyuan’s breath and noticed that he was still breathing.

She heaved a small sigh of relief and turned to glare at Bai Jingrou harshly. “You tried to murder Director Long?”

Bai Jingrou criticised her in rage. “Fang Xinxin, you’re full of nonsense. Long Jingyuan is my grandfather and my only living relative. How could I possibly murder him?”

“I heard Grandfather shouting very loudly. When I ran in, I saw that someone had smashed a vase against his forehead and was about to stab him with a knife. I was the one who scared him away with my shouts. Bai Jingrou pointed at the open window. “Look. He escaped through the window. I was the one who saved Grandfather.”

Fang Xinxin could not be bothered with her nonsense at the moment. She saw that Long Jingyuan’s wound was still bleeding heavily. She immediately brought out some medicine to stop his bleeding and a bandage. She dipped the bandage into the medicine and pressed it against his wound. It finally stopped bleeding.

Recently, there were always a lot of troubling matters. Thus, she had developed the habit of carrying such medicine on her at all times.

“Immediately send Long Jingyuan to Jia Ya Hospital!” Fang Xinxin commanded her people.

“Yes, Madam.” The bodyguards lifted Long Jingyuan up to bring him away.

Bai Jingrou shouted in anger. “Wait a minute, Fang Xinxin. What gives you the right to bring my grandfather away? Even if he needs to be sent to the hospital, I should be the one doing it!”

She did not receive any response. When she headed to the living room on the first floor, she finally noticed a group of servants on the floor. They were covered in bruises and were moaning in pain.

Clearly, Fang Xinxin’s bodyguards had beaten them up.
