Chapter 333: He booked a high-speed rail ticket for the next day. (3)

He returned a year ago. Back then, he worried a lot that he wasnt able to save the one that he cared about. By the time he had it all sorted out, he noticed that many incidents had gone differently than how he had remembered them. Fang JunRong had already divorced Li WangJin and had nothing more to do with him. Li WangJin, owing to the counterfeit products, had a poor reputation.

He dug more into it and noticed many oddities from Fang JunRong. All of the changes seemed to have stemmed from her.

Perhaps she was in a similar situation as him, except that she got back sooner. After learning that she was looking for a date to a banquet, he did not hesitate to apply for the job. And, with his outstanding qualities, he easily got the role. He had only wanted to see her. He wanted to see the woman who had changed his life in his previous life. Little had he known that that would have turned into the opportunity for him to stay around her.

His hand that was holding onto the pen tightened. Hearing about Dingyang village reminded him of the news from the past and he quickly called her up to warn her.

As observant as she was, she must have noticed that something was off with him. He didnt regret it, though. He only worried that he would no longer be able to keep his job and stay around her.

His chin was taut and he had clearly fallen into some sort of struggle. A few minutes later, he turned on his computer, pulled up the website of the high-speed rail, and booked his ticket.

Thank you for your reminder, Boss Fang, otherwise this could be a disaster.

Recalling the reports from the experts, Mayor Mo was short of sweating. Per the experts, a few spots of the mountains were in danger of collapsing and, judging from the way it has been raining, there would very likely be landslides.

He had overlooked the issue and almost caused a calamity. He looked both upset at himself and also appreciative of Fang JunRongs help.

Naturally, Fang JunRong would not take all the credit herself. She smiled a little and said, My assistant was the one who reminded me when we were talking on the phone earlier.

And that was the truth. Had it not been Jiang DeXian, she would not have recalled this incident. Had this happened right under her nose, it would be very difficult for her to forgive herself. On this note, she had Jiang DeXian to thank.

Do thank him for me then, said Mayor Mo. Pardon me. I have more to take care of.

He had to arrange for places to hold the villagers who had evacuated. A lot of the residents of Dingyang Village were working out of town and there were only around 230 or so people remaining.

It may not sound like a lot but it was still a big task settling them all down. Their town was small and had only 3 motels and 1 hotel, none of them very big. At most they could hold half the people. He still needed to look for places for the remaining people.

Mayor Mo was so anxious that he could pull all of his hair out. He had been so busy the last two days that he barely had time for a sip of water. Not every resident of Dingyang Village went along with the evacuation order. Many felt that he was making a big deal out of nothing and it would be but a big waste of time. If they had that kind of time, they might as well weave a few more baskets and sell them for money.

Mayor Mo pulled out his trump card and stated that if they didnt evacuate, he would be cancelling the supplement for the fruit trees this year.

Many griped about it after he had said that, but nobody dared to stay behind. Everyone evacuated per the order.

Fang JunRong didnt want to throw more chaos into the mix. She was not an expert when it came to something like this. There wasnt much she could do after she had provided them with the reminders. As such, she put on her rain gear, grabbed her umbrella, and walked around town. They would need a suitable location for their factory.

XinYun and Fang Tian accompanied her. Fang Tian had wanted to take some videos but the downpour was too heavy and, worried about her phone, she finally gave up on that idea.

Chen MingZhu rode with the workers in the morning back to the village to help convince the villagers to leave. It was a half an hour bus ride from the town to the village and longer in the rain for the sake of safety.
