Chapter 128 (2)

Fringe Capybaras Hall of Fame.

You tramp! He shrieked and cussed at the same time, but he wasnt able to open his eyes from the pain. He inadvertently bumped into the shelf next to him and his leg hurt so much that he dropped onto his knees.

Li XinYun, still holding the pepper spray in her hand, waited for the bodyguards to get here. She had already told them which floor shed be on before she went upstairs.

Zhao Xue was making a call too. Choking back her tears, she asked the others from the student union to please come over quickly.

A second later, the door to the conference room was opened up.

A tall and strong man with a handsome look walked inside. He was frowning slightly, and he looked worried. Are you alright?

He walked toward Li XinYun, but before he was even able to show them a comforting smile, he was met with a pepper spray attack that made one want to pass out.

OOOWWWWW.

As handsome and gentle as Zhang Bi was, when attacked by pepper spray, he could no longer maintain his breezy gentlemanly image. As he wasnt able to approach Fang JunRong from her end, he figured he could try her daughters angle.

Li XinYun was well protected, and she seemed to be a pretty and nave girl that was slightly spoiled. The easiest and quickest way to get to her heart was, doubtless, a hero who saved her from a dire situation.

Zhang Bi had been waiting for this opportunity for a long time. He had been plotting since he found out that Li XinYun was looking for sponsors for her school. He paid off someone in the student union and found out the companies that she had approached for sponsorships and finally picked this one managed by Meng Qiang.

He further had someone look into the books of this company for any shady businesses. Once he had dirt in hand, he blackmailed and bribed Meng Qiang to work with him to put up the show.

Naturally, he did not disclose Li XinYuns real identity to Meng Qiang but that she was just a normal girl from an average family. That had reassured Meng Qiang. After all, most normal girls who encountered such a thing would choose to remain silent in the event that they were not physically hurt.

Even if he got himself into some sort of trouble, the status of the Zhangs would be able to fix anything for him.

Zhang Bis plan was to appear in front of Li XinYun like a god during the worst moment. He probably would not have attempted a shortcut like that in the past but opted for something more progressive. But, for some unknown reasons lately, Zhang ZhiSu had declined to continue treatment with him a while ago. Those in the clan assumed that he had done something that had offended Zhang ZhiSu and were displeased with him. That was the reason why he needed to rush into some sort of achievement and had no choice but to adopt a riskier method.

A first meeting that should have been as lovely as described in a novel, but instead, he was welcomed by a thunderstorm-like attack.

At that moment in time, Zhang Bi was met with the same fate as Meng Qiang both of them rolling on the floor shrieking.

Looking at the two of them, Li XinYun slammed her fist into her other palm and said, Oh! I forgot to do something!

Zhao Xues schoolmate asked cooperatively, What is it? She was worried earlier, but in the end, Li XinYun took care of it all by herself. That being said, why did she carry around pepper spray with her?!

Call the cops! said Li XinYun solemnly.

She stared viciously at the two men on the floor. Apparently, she had already assumed that Zhang Bi was an accomplice.

By this time, her bodyguards had arrived as well. Their stocky bodies provided her with a strong sense of security.

Li XinYun, who was talking to the cops on the phone, nodded at them.

..

Zhang Bi, whose eyes were bright red, was forced to explain that he was not an accomplice to the cops. He was there to talk about a business deal when he heard the screaming, came over to check it out, and was mistaken as an accomplice.

He even had to reveal his identity.
