Those boys shout in strange voices and press Gu Cheng to tell them who that girl is but Gu Cheng won’t say her name no matter how .

Ah Zhao covers her mouth in the front row and laughs secretly .

Over time, not only Cla.s.s 2 but all of Qingyuan Second High know that the most handsome boy of the school, Gu Cheng, is madly in love with the top student, Tang Zhao .

Not only does he work hard for her but he is willing to follow her everywhere, helping her fill up her kettle, bringing her breakfast and getting her lunch .

Wherever Tang Zhao is, one can find Gu Cheng beside her .

The news is all over the school so eventually the teachers learn about it as well .

Old Kai has great hopes for Ah Zhao so he calls her to the office the minute he knows the news .

“Tang Zhao, I ask you over today because I've heard something . ”

Ah Zhao stands there agreeably .

In front of him, it’s his best pupil, who gives him no trouble and is obedient, a top student as well . Old Kai’s voice becomes softer without him even noticing it:

“You and Gu Cheng . . . ”

Before he even finishes, the office door is pushed open from outside and Gu Cheng rushes in .

Old Kai glares at him: “Gu Cheng, don’t you know that you should knock first before you come in?”

Gu Cheng greets him . Looking Ah Zhao up and down and finding nothing is wrong with her, he finally sets his mind at ease .

Old Kai: “ . . . ”

What’s that look? Could I eat Tang Zhao alive or what?

He turns gloomy and is about to start his lecture when Gu Cheng speaks before him: “Teacher, I know why you ask Tang Zhao to come here . ”

He stands straight which he seldom does . “I do have feelings for her and I don’t mind if you know that . ”

Old Kai: “ . . . ” Well, you are really somebody being so bold and a.s.sured .

“But it's nothing to do with her . We aren't boyfriend and girlfriend yet . It’s me who's after her all this time . ”

Old Kai is livid . “You are in your final year of high school . I’m sure you know what’s most important for you at the moment . Tang Zhao is a top student . If you do have feelings for her, you shouldn't affect her with what you do . ”

“Mr . Deng . ” Ah Zhao says softly .

She blinks her big eyes, not shy nor embarra.s.sed but still cute . “It won’t affect our study . ”

Old Kai frowns: “Tang Zhao, don’t speak for . . . ”

“I promise, Mr . Deng . ”

Ah Zhao’s voice is small but firm . “I’ll let my grades speak for me . ”
