So for her, these type of places make her cringe. She isn't used to the overly formal language and the way these students dress, how is Miley able to survive in such a place?

"Thank you very much," Pupillam thanked the person as they quickly scurried away leaving her alone in the grand waiting room.

She slumped on the chair, and a deep sigh pa.s.sed her lips. Though she wanted to leave right away, King Allen reminded her to clean up any affairs she had left here. Indeed, the moment he said it, Pupillam recalled Miley. The young girl's punishment in the Silver Palace wasn't a punishment at all but a mission. After hearing the first report regarding the place, Pupillam increased her visits to the Silver Palace. Queen entrusted Miley with this job so she can surely do it.

However, the gruesome events described to her were rather disturbing; the target seemed to be young girls too. She didn't want to take any chances. Lan is there, but she knew despite his strong feelings for Miley, his sister is the priority. Not like Lina needs much protecting, anyway.

Just before she leaves, she's going to give some strict instructions to Miley. Her position as the Queen's aide is important. Because she's still around, not too many people complained about the Queen being absent. However, it's a different story now that she's leaving. Word already got out, before the matter blows up completely she has to leave. The mission the Queen gave her aside. Pupillam recalled the image of the woman from two days ago. The Queen's health is deteriorating faster than she thought, this is bad.

She has to hurry and give the Queen the 'seed' King Allen gave her. It's a temporary measure he found to stop her illness. It surprised Pupillam when King Allen first showed Queen Lyn shortly after he arrived in the Mist Kingdom. This person who hadn't seen the Queen was looking for a solution regarding her illness. The amount of dedication he spent on the Queen was truly admirable.

Although the two of them did not particularly get along - the dislike was mainly on his side though. Back when King Allen was engaged to the Princess, he did not like having her tag along, he even sent his own guards away so he could be alone with her.

A yawn escaped Pupillams lips; a short nap should be fine. The messenger did say Miley was in the middle of lessons.

Year 4014 Mist Kingdom Main Castle

"Pupillam, why don't you join us?"

It did not surprise Pupillam that the Princess spotted her; she understood her well by now. Pupillam stepped out of her hiding spot behind the wall and took a few steps forward, but she immediately halted.

"Is something wrong?" Lyn asked. Yes, something is wrong; the man behind is shooting a severe look at her. Pupillam sighed, well this is also something she understood well. From the moment she became the Princess head aide, she's had to deal with the man known as Allen.

Instead of pointing out his obvious jealous like she would have done so in the past, Pupillam just said, "I have to keep guard."

Lyn laughed and turned to Allen, she tugged his arm, "Won't you let her join us?"

"...I intend to be stubborn. These walks with you are precious to me."

Pupillam woke up when she hears the sound of rus.h.i.+ng footsteps. She looked towards the clock; thankfully she only slept for a few minutes.

Her sweat fell when the doors burst open. There was none other than Miley wearing the standard uniform consisting of a white blouse with a collar lined with frills. A purple no sleeve dress is worn on top of the white colored blouse, the dress had dark linings and the Mist Kingdom emblem attached in the side on the linings. The bottom half of the dress contained small jewels like pearls dangling down from two ribbons attached to the waist.

Miley scanned the room, and her gaze met hers, the girl strolled across the room. Pupillam sweatdropped, here she comes.

"Mi-"

"Wahhhhhh," Miley wailed.

This wasn't the reaction she was expecting.

For the next few minutes, the young girl started wailing in her arms. She kept repeating, "Wahh don't go don't go, don't go head advisor."

"Miley," Pupillam spoke softly; the girl's reaction made her happy. She didn't think Miley would miss her this much. Her relations.h.i.+p with the girl mainly consisted of her nagging at her. Yes, Pupillam admits that she does nag at least with Miley, but that's because the girls careless is worse than the Queen.

"If you don't drop by and check on things stupid Land will take advantage of me. What will happen to me if you're gone?"

Her kind demeanor vanished in a moment at those words, as she stared at Miley with an indifferent expression. She lightly moved the girl away from herself and said, "You may have an extra mission here, but you're still on probation remember?" Pupillam reminded her.

"Wahhh, don't do this head advisor..."

Pupillam sighed deeply, "I understand how you feel. Lan often tried to trick me in the past, and I know he isn't that simple of a person," she paused and sighed as she recalled it. But then the image of him desperately saving her and even the Queen appeared in her head. Since then her opinion has changed, "But, that's only because you don't try to get to know him. If you actually learn more about him. Then you will see he isn't a bad guy."

"Head advisor, then you accept his engagement."

Pupillam laughs, "Don't be silly. Besides this head advisor, says no to romance."

"Really? Even if it isn't stupid Lan, there's never been a guy who has interested you before?" Miley eyed her suspiciously.

A guy who has interested her huh?

Pupillam shook her head, "There was n.o.body like that," she trailed off. At least n.o.body on her status. Falling for someone is already a double-edged sword since she has to divide her attention from the Queen. But if the person is somebody on a different status? It becomes a disaster. That's why she never chose to pursue those feelings, and it quickly faded into nothing. Now whenever she meets that person, she can speak with him calmly and occasionally argue with him.

"Head advisor?" Miley called out, bringing her back to reality.

"Try to get along with Lan and get to know him; otherwise you will regret it. Don't blame me if you continue being ignorant; he's a good person."

The time he saved her and the Queen aside, back during the whole love triangle, square or whatever it was. Lan helped advise the Queen a lot and also her regarding the guy she supposedly fell for. His intentions towards Miley may not be clear; however, Pupillam can say so for sure that he will not harm her.
