17 Queen Lyn 9

Seeing the group, however split up, her eyes widened, "No." Lyn said. But the separate group headed towards the direction of where Pupillam was. She barely avoided a block and is stabbed in the shoulder. Despite the blood on her shoulder; however, she did not feel the pain. Yes in this form, she doesn't feel the pain of her injuries.

The man at the front who the others referred to as sir earlier burst into laughter, "Hahahaha, hahahaa. The monster got hurt. Serves you---"

"Allen."

"Are you done with your frenzy mode Lyn?"

She smiled weakly, "It seems so."

"Then. Allow me to fight alongside you now."

"Okay." She closed her eyes and dispelled her present state.

One of the main reasons they got engaged was because when the girl was born, they found a yellow mark that resembled his own. Lyn is not aware of it, but their first meeting was much earlier than she thought. When he was 5, and she was only still a child, he saw it, a mark that resembled his own. Allen saw the light that flashed when their hands inter winced with each other. Even now he could remember the feeling of the girl's hands against his own — her small hands as a child and the hand he held when she became a woman.

He extended his hand towards her and Lyn accepted, and a burst of light surrounded the two. While Lyn is the only one whose hair color and eyes change when she uses magic, he undergoes changes, but not physical changes like her. The aura surrounded him grew brighter.

Lyn's hair color turned blonde. Her dress was turquoise and yellow. LINE neckline and sleeveless. A low back halter.

"Summoning, the swords of light."

The elders told him that while Queen rulers are rare, there are those who from the moment they are born, are born to be a Queen. Lyn is one of those; she has all the qualities and whether it's the magic of the forbidden or light. It all comes to her so naturally.

It was laughable to her that one of her magic forms is light. But this was the form she first discovered; it was this beautiful magic that leads to her fate-altering. Her gaze landed on Allen who fought alongside her, and this is the man who she was meant to marry. To fight alongside using this power.

This was the third highest level of magic. When she was a mere princess, she thought this was as high as her ability for magic could get. There would be nothing wrong if that were to be the case., Lyn raised the sword and stabbed the center of the ground causing large rubble.

She's plenty strong with just this alone.

"Light of the heavens," Lyn yelled, creating a diamond with her double blades.

"Sunray Sparkle!" he followed. Allen created the same lights with his blade.

A yellow light poured out from his blades. The same light from Lyn's two swords also, and the three light sources merged. The light exploded into thousands of sparkles. When this light touched the demons, the demons were lifted off the ground and purified before vanis.h.i.+ng.

Soon, the only thing left was the sparkles. With nothing left to purify, they flew up and turned into fireworks.

"What a beautiful sight.." Lyn muttered from beside him.

This was their power, the joined power of their magic. The main reason for their union because people wanted peace. The power of purification the demons and dark habitats of this world. It's something only he and Lyn could do.

The other subordinates had backed down, however, sensing a strong blood l.u.s.t still. Allen raised his blade. But the man in charge swiftly went past him. Huh? How? It shocked Allen the sudden speed the man displayed.

Seeing Lyn's transformation vanish, his eyes widened seeing a cough escape the girl's lips. Her condition must be growing worse as he thought. Allen was not confident in his magical ability speed. But the ability to protect her that strong desire.

East of the Mist Kingdom.

A certain blonde haired man wearing the knight gear of the mist kingdom was leading his troops up a mountain trail.

The mist kingdom is located right at the center, so Arkwright found his recon mission took a while longer than expected. He already finished checking the mist kingdom borders and expanded outwards.

"Sir, should we not take a break?"

Arkwright shook his head, "We are almost done investigating this area." The sooner he finishes, then the quicker he can return to the Kingdom. To the Queen's side.

"I have a bad feeling…"

The soldier nodded in understanding.

What's the problem? The snow kingdom people may act shady. But there are no signs of actual conflict just yet. He catches a glimpse of a man hunched in the middle of the ground.

"Stop," Arkwright said. His soldiers followed his command, and he walked over, "Are you all right? Are you hungry, we have food with us, and we can take you to the nearest village?"

Just as he said those words; however the man stood up and pulled out a small knife, Arkwright easily dodged the blow. A burglar? No, that's not it.

He couldn't miss the man's malice. He knew this isn't a random attack.

"What is your goal?" Arkwright asked.

"It's all because of you because of the mist kingdom going to war, that we are suffering from a famine.."

What? What did that man say? Before the man could land another attack; however, someone covered the man in simple magic binds. He turned to spot a familiar woman with long midnight blue hair. Ah.

"Yo Ark."

"Kristy." Arkwright greeted. The head mage of the mist kingdom Kristy. Today she wore her usual attire covered in the mist kingdom cloak.

He frowned seeing her arm limping slightly, "Did you get injured?"

Kristy laughed, "I was practicing new spells and went overboard."

"Please be more careful."

"Right, right?"

He turned his attention back to the man who attacked him, Kristy had bound him with her spell, "We need to investigate where this man got his news. People consider it a sin to spread false information."

Kristy shook her head, "There is no need."

No need?

"It's as you heard, except the famine isn't our doing. Our Queen raised the battle flag. I guess the news is slow in these parts.."

The Queen raised the battle flag? Despite the sudden news, Arkwright did not let his concern show on his half and calmly replied.

"No, I have been absent from the camp and have been searching these areas. It's natural that I don't know."

Kristy nodded, "It's time. Now that the flag is raised. When we meet with the snow kingdom people, it will turn into a fight."

War…

A glimpse of a memory from when he was younger appeared in his head.

----

Several years ago.

"Shaarya. Shaarya. Princess Shaarya?!!"

"I'm glad you are safe…" she murmured weakly.

-----

All war does is bring people misery and pain. The Queen, she wouldn't raise the flag without reason. He turned to his men, who were discussing amongst themselves what just happened.

"Let us return to the camp, and there may be a letter from the Queen."
