Xu Zijin felt a deep sense of guilt eating at her inside day and night. Without the unborn child in her belly, she would have killed herself in a bid to offer an apology to her father and stepmother.

She hated Fu Sinian, but the one she hated the most was herself. How could she have been so stupid?

With tears in her eyes, she said, "Fu Sinian, just let me go. Now I see that I was wrong. I promise I won't love you anymore."

He suddenly caught Xu Zijin by the wrist, pulled her up from the ground and pinned her on the cold wall.

The man slowly leaned over her as his handsome face distorted with fury, the anger boiling in his eyes like the infernal flames, which made her flesh creep in fear.

Xu Zijin's eyes was filled with panic as she felt the beast in him. She tried hard to be calm and asked, "Fu Sinian, what do you want to do?"

Fu Sinian raised his hand and grabbed her delicate chin, then he gave a mocking smile and said, "Xu Yuanshan is a coward. He ran away from my revenge by death. But it didn't matter. After all, you are still here. Just think, if he knows that his beloved daughter suffers the humiliation and becomes my plaything, will he cry bitterly in h.e.l.l?"

A s.h.i.+ver ran down her spine as she understood what he meant. She began to struggle desperately.

"Fu Sinian, you can't do that to me! Let me go!"

"No way! Since you dared attempt to escape, you have to bear the consequences of your actions. Xu Zijin, you have irritated me." With that, Fu Sinian rudely tore her clothes and plunged deep into her.

After a long time, the s.e.x finished. Xu Zijin collapsed on the ground as her clothes were in tatters from the way he had savagely tore at them, revealing her milky white skin which was covered with visible bruises and abrasions.

Fu Sinian in a neat, dark suit standing aside casually wiped his hands with a handkerchief. He looked solemn and elegant as if he was going to a royal banquet.

"Have you had enough?" she asked with a blank expression on her face. "Can you let me go now?"

Xu Zijin wanted to cry, however, her chest felt heavy as if it were filled with lead and she was too exhausted to cry.

'How ironic! During three years of our marriage, you never slept with me. Now our marriage has broken up but you make love with me because you want to humiliate me.

Fu Sinian, I hate you but I hate myself even more. How could I have indulged myself in your false tenderness before? How could I have catered to your l.u.s.t just now?' she thought.

Xu Zijin bit her lips and abhorred herself to the extreme. The man ruined her family and killed her father. He was her personal enemy.

"Xu Zijin, you'd better be obedient. Provoking me wouldn't do you any good," he said in a cold tone and turned around to leave.

He was about to open the door when Xu Zijin's voice came from behind.

The look on her face was so distant and her voice was so calm as if she had buried all her sorrow. "You are right. I can't run away from you as long as you don't want to let me off." Xu Zijin struggled to her feet and staggered to him. She stopped in front of him and stared at him with a look of irony. "But there's an exception to everything. Fu Sinian, do you really think you can control everything in the world?"

The next day Xu Zijin went to the police office.

She straightened her back and proclaimed in public, "I killed Mu Anan. I'm here to turn myself in."

Half a month later, the case came to trial, which sent shock waves throughout the whole An City.

On the day of trial, it was snowing in great flakes.

Snow covered the city and the cold winter wind was blowing outside. Fu Sinian finally understood the meaning of Xu Zijin's last remark--"Fu Sinian, you can't control everything in the world."

He used his connections to full advantage and hired the best advocate to defend her. However, all his efforts were of no avail because she was determined to send herself to jail.
