NOTE.--If the teacher thinks that the cla.s.s needs more drill of this kind, Exercises x.x.xVIII. and x.x.xIX. may be reversed, that is, the verbs in x.x.xVIII. may be changed to perfect or pa.s.sive forms; the verbs in x.x.xIX.

to the past tense. If this is done, some of the sentences will have to be slightly recast. In the next exercise drill on the same forms is continued in a different way.

_Insert the proper form in each of the blanks in the following sentences:--_
