93 Footsteps

The young master Feng was still lying peacefully on the table; ignorant of the newcomer that had come into the room.

The newcomer approached closer to the other person. When he was within an arms reach, he raised his hand that was on his side.

Softly he placed his hand on Jun Kai's shoulders, "Boss?"

There was still no answer.

Lin Cheng became worried and shook Jun Kai's shoulder. When there was still no response, he shook Jun Kai's shoulder harder and harder. He checked his boss' breathing and it was still fine, but then why wasn't his boss waking up? As he was just about to put his hand on his boss' forehead, a hand stopped him in mid-air.

"That's enough now Lin Cheng," Although Jun Kai was still laying down, his eyes were slightly glaring at Lin Cheng.

Slowly, Lin Cheng immediately took his hand away from Jun Kai. He even took a step back, "Ahem, uh..."

Jun Kai slowly got up and was now sitting with his dignified posture. His brows were furrowed as he stared at the teacup in front of him. Tut.

How could he let this happen...

Jun Kai's face was very annoyed with the fact that he had fallen into a trap never like before. Sigh, all because of her.

The cup had steam faintly coming out of it. It seemed it hadn't been that long. However, his eyes caught attention to another thing on the table. There, laid a small wooden box and a white piece of paper beside it.

Jun Kai's hand automatically reached out to the items that were neatly placed on the table. He picked up the letter and once he saw the writing he was quite surprised. Such sharp handwriting but at the same time very elegant and smooth. Such an extraordinary person.

His eyes swept through the letter with seriousness. His sword like eyebrows was slightly knitted as he read through the text.

"Find the beauty that has the spell carved within her,

The written letters on the twins activate the spell from the beauty,

The spell is the calling for the twins,

Once the spell is used, the owner of the twins will be pulled to each other,

No other spell will break the calling,"

"Be prepared to meet the other owner of the twins.

When you meet the mastermind,

It may be the only chance to fulfil the retribution,

Or it may be your last to see this world."

The first few lines did not seem to make any sense and the last few lines were very encouraging indeed tsk. The last to see this world? He won't let that happen. Many things have yet to be done, it was going to be that easy.

Jun Kai then opened the box and saw a golden cuff sword in the shape of a dragon with symbols carved on to it. However, just as he lifted the box to take a look at the paper, two photographs were just on top of the paper.

"Boss, this...isn't it madam?" Lin Cheng couldn't help but blurt out his surprise. The photograph showed their past madam in a cafe? But, someone else was also there...it seemed to be miss Xue Li.

Looking at the picture, Jun Kai's involuntarily shook slightly. That was his wife, but her face was full of tears? Jun Kai felt a tingly pain in his heart as he looked at the person in the picture. Indeed just like Lin Cheng had said, Xue Li was sitting in the background...smiling!?

He looked at the bottom right corner at the date of this picture and his heart turned cold. Before this, he had a suspicion about Xue Li's business trip. Now, it was right in front of his eyes. The date was exactly the day of the accident. Xue Li did not go on a business trip but to meet his wife!

The parts of the photo that Jun Kai was holding onto was wrinkled. He had been holding it so hard that he did not realize. For some time, he was silent. Lin Cheng only stayed was quiet as possible.

However, he then noticed another piece of photo was behind the photo that his boss was holding onto, "Sir, there's another picture."

Only then did Jun Kai see another picture. He switched the two photos and was momentarily confused. What was it about?

Not long, Jun Kai traced the details in the photo and instantly knew what it was about. This...this photo was a photo from the crash scene. The only footage he saw was a bullet being shot towards the bus and caused the explosion.

The only difference was that this photo was a far clearer image of the shot. Apparently what seemed to look like a bullet did not seem like a bullet. It would be too long for a bullet. However, it looked like a long the metal and many characters or symbols were carved on to its body. Such odd carvings.

As Jun Kai looked at the odd carvings, it made him realize a very crucial point. His eyes moved to the item that he had just purchased lying in the box. A moment of realization came to him. So, this was what the Xuan leader was talking about.

"Find the beauty that has the spell carved within her,

The written letters on the twins activate the spell from the beauty,

The spell is the calling for the twins,

Once the spell is used, the owner of the twins will be pulled to each other,

No other spell will break the calling,"

Right now, the first thing he had to find...was the beauty. Thinking about a beauty, did it mean a woman? Then, if so, the only other beauty that was involved in this scene seemed to have been...her...Xue Li.

Jun Kai was resolute and was about to let Lin Cheng carry out his instructions when sounds of footprint were heard.

There should be more than ten men coming in their direction. Who could it be?

Both Lin Cheng and Jun Kai made eye contact and had an intact understanding with each other. Since this place was this secretive and someone or anyone was able to come in without any guidance then they would have a very high skill. The pair did not want to be staying idly in the room.

They looked around the room to find any other way out. However, this room was built so thick that looking for another way out seemed impossible. Thus, both went to stand right behind the door. If the new arrivals had bad intentions, then they would take the chance before their opponents.

Jun Kai took the items inside his side pockets and went to stand behind the wall. His mind was alert as ever.

Soon, the footsteps drew closer.
