2 Where All Things Begun...

The sun had set and the moon is s.h.i.+ning brightly in the night sky. Millions of stars were s.h.i.+ning upon earth, a sign of a joy towards the people of the Ning Kingdom. The full moon that would come once every 100 years has come upon the kingdom.

Mt. Mìng Yùn, two figures could be seen climbing up as the moon and stars s.h.i.+ne their light to make way for them. Two brother and sister from the royal blood, a prince and a princess. (If it were to say they were second in beauty then no one would be able to say they are in first.)

"Aiyo....Brother! Stop right there, you're going too fast" Shen Mi Rong was stumbling with her festival dress that she was forced to put on by their mother, the empress. She was twenty-five and her brother, Shen Yi Chang was 27. Although, it may seem old, but people of the Ning Kingdom would live up to two hundred or three hundred years if they are powerful cultivators.

No response from her Bro...

"You shouldn't go too fast Brother or else you might hurt yourself."

"Pfft...Ahahaha, you should worry about yourself." Yi Chang had tried his best to keep in his laugh from the very moment his sister complained. The both had high martial arts, but because their mother dressed Mi Rong up to the fullest today, so she couldn't move much. The reason was exactly not to let his younger sister move around to much and especially to keep her in the palace for the ceremony. He wanted to tease his little sister by speeding up the hill, although his clothes weren't anything better than his sister.

"Humph, then I wonder what your fiancée would think about you bully your little sister?" Yi Chang's face totally went pale. It worked, well it always does; Mi Rong was thinking about it to herself.

"You are little anymore and keep quiet if you don't want mother to know."

They both loved escaping the palace and their favourite place was always Mt. Mìng Yùn. Especially Mi Rong, because on this mountain laid a very special myth that started here on this mountain. Their mother would always tell this story tale to them, Mi Rong took it in the most.

It once was said that this was the place where the Fire Queen and the Almighty King Bian Fu of the most powerful kingdom at that time, the Shadow Kingdom who met and fell in love with each other. The were praised by the Ning Kingdom as the founder of the Ning Kingdom. However, little did they know that there was another side of the story. The two siblings walking up the mountain were one of the exceptions. Their side of the story that was past down by the royal lineage was entirely different from their people.

It was told that the one King Bian Fu fell in love with was not the Fire Queen, but her step sister, the Ice Queen of the Snow Kingdom a mysterious Kingdom that was told it never really exist. Nevertheless, their father was the emperor Tian Di, the Ice Queen's mother was the Empress and the Fire Queen was the concubine. Both of their mother came from two different kingdom and the sisters were given the responsibility to take care of their kingdom.

They were not on good terms and this was known and rumored during that time. Rumors were that their kingdoms were fighting with each other, the Shadow Kingdom that grew powerful under the hands of the Bian Fu King was expanding it's control to the world, and the love triangle of the two sisters and the Bian Fu Kingdom. The famous tales of super powers, animals and nature talking to humans.

However, time past and rumors were turned into stories and myths. What was left was told to the generations behind.

The scenery that could be seen on the peek of the mountain had no words to describe it. You would see the biggest waterfall on earth that has ever been created. Then if you look ahead, forest of flowers and trees were spread across the mountain range, with patches of snow falling upon the mountain covering your feet.

However, instead of admiring the scenery, there was another scene going on, a scene that you wouldn't know to laugh or cry. Mi Rong was chasing her brother while trying to hit him with a long stick that she found along the path they came. Although, they were in their mid twenties they would also have a childish side to them. Others would never be able to see this picture for in the outside world, the two brother and sister were counted as the most coldest siblings in the entire kingdom.

Then Yi Chang got tired of running so he said " Rong Rong, wait, give your brother a little break." "Hey, ouch."

"Never in a million years, brother." Mi Rong spitted out those words with her teeth clenched together as she was also tired of carrying the weight of her dress.

When it didn't work, Yi Chang then decided to say "Hey, look at the moon up there!"

"Gasp! Wow it really is beautiful, but don't think you'll get away with that, ha, I will tell sister-in-law."

"Mi Rong ah, pleaseeee"

"Keke, what will I get from keeping quiet?"

"Well..."

"I say you give me that thousand year sword of yours to me, you're not using it anyways, I want to keep it in my collection."

"No!"

"Then the next day be prepared."

"Wait, okay"

"What? Did I hear you say something, hmm?"

"Hey, that's enough ya, I already said it."

"Hahaha, alright."

"Phew"

Mi Rong then turn to look at the full moon which made her think back of the story. "Brother do you remember that story that mother would always tell us before going to bed?"

"The one that the Bian Fu King and the Fire queen fell in love with each other?"

"Hey, stop mistaking it, it's the Ice queen not that fake woman."

"Hm, what's the matter with you and the Fire Queen, did she do anything to you, for you to always hate her this much?"

"Well, I just hate her from what she did; she wasn't even the one in the story, but just because the Ice Queen was lost from History, she took the full credit, and to think that she's our ancestor only makes me want to feel sick." but then in the corner of Mi Rong's eye she saw a great bright light s.h.i.+nning from the side of the big waterfall. When she turned to face the light, she saw a pathway that she had never seen before despite coming to the waterfall with her family and alone several times.

"Brother," she pointed at the light and said "Do you see that?"

"See what?" Her Brother looked at her confusingly.

"Um...This" She decided to walk closer to it and pointed at it again.

"Rong Rong, what games are you playing, hmm?"

"Come on, surely you can see, ah Brother?" Her brother seemed to have froze right on spot. She looked down and saw herself stepping right on the edge of the light. She turn her gaze to her brother and saw that everything surrounding her brother froze like time had stopped but not where she stood because she could the sound of the winds gus.h.i.+ng past her ears.

"Brother!" She called out to brother but no words came out from her brother's mouth. However, her brother's eyes were showing how worried he was and was trying to tell Mi Rong to come out.

Mi Rong tried to move out but her body was sustained and she felt her body getting heavier as she tried to free herself. She tried several times but failed all the time. It felt like there was a transparent wall separating her and her brother.

"Princess," then a small voice cried out to her.

"Who's there?" She spoke as her reflect pulled out her sword to the darkness.
