"Take a look at how she is." Mr Li Jian spoke half-worried half tiredly. He had been out the entire night, but still no progress.

The doctor checked Ms Huan Jia carefully and finally found the cause, "Sir, the lady has only fallen asleep. This needle here is the cause." The doctor showed a simple-looking needle on a white cloth.

One of Mr Li Jian's guards returned back hurriedly and kneeled down to report, "Sir, we've lost the person. He was simply too fast." The guard felt truly humiliated for losing the trespa.s.ser.

Nevertheless, Mr Li Jian did not show any signs of anger and only told his guards to check their CCTV camera. He then told the rest to look for any lost items in case the trespa.s.ser was only a thief.

"Boss! There's a letter for you, sir." One of the guards reported. 

Mr Li Jian opened the letter from his guards and began reading the contents inside which wrote;

"A love potion for a lover.

I hope this truth would hit you.

You threw a gem away just to reach for a stone.

I truly pity you.

However, the lady is in my good care.

If you want the gem, you'll have to throw this stone away.

It also depends on the lady if she wants to come back to you or not.

But, keep on searching.

I'll call you when the time is right."

Upon finis.h.i.+ng the letter, his hands began shaking. He looked for the potion mentioned in the letter and found it on the table with two wine gla.s.ses, "Doctor, come check this potion for me." Mr Li Jian spoke coldly. 

The doctor did as he was told and proceed to check on the potion in his boss' hand. He went through the ingredients for almost 30 minutes before coming to a conclusion on what the potion was. Though the doctor was also one of a kind, he would not be able to be compared to Mi Rong who only needed to smell the potion and find out what the potion was.

Whilst the doctor had been going through the potion, with his hands crossed and eyes on the window that was left open by their trespa.s.ser, Mr Li Jian was deep in his thoughts. If the contents in the letter were true, then...he truly felt dishearted. 

"Sir, this humble servant was not good enough and could only find it now." The doctor called out.

"Speak."

"The potion must be some kind of love potion sir, but the dose of the ingredients are simply too much." The doctor explained.

"What do you mean about the dose?" The Feng master questioned.

"If taken this much, I fear that it would forever harm the heart, sir. Slowly, the heart will be eaten away and in no longer than 3 years, the heart would then cease to beat again."

It was as if a giant rock was. .h.i.tting him a million times. All along this is what happened. He wondered why whenever he went near or even think of Ru Yin, his heart would be clenching in pain. Almost all the time he had to deal with both his mental thoughts that were stopping him from bursting his emotions at Ru Yin and his physical pain. It was also why he would not be able to stay with her for long. 

These past years he was slightly better at controlling the two opposing sides inside him by not trying to think about his feelings towards Ru Yin. Was the potion why?

The master Feng took a deep tiring breath, "Check what more the potion can do and report it to me."

As he was giving orders to the doctor, Ms Huan Jia who had lost concious began to stir. She sluggishly opened her eyes. When she was fully awake, she looked around the room. However, the next moment, she could see her beloved person holding onto the small bottle.

No!

Ms Huan Jia hastily got up and ran towards her lover. She quickly pushed the doctor away and reached out for the bottle, but she was too slow. Mr Li Jian had already put it back inside his pockets, "Li Jian!" Ms Huan Jia cried.

Despite the lady who was tearing up, Mr Li Jian was rather cold. He did not even take a look at her.

"Li Jian? What is the meaning of this?" She tried calming down and spoke pitifully.

The Feng master could not help but sigh. It was one blow after the other, he turned back to look at the woman he had been protecting all his life, countless times, "Are you blind?" His eyes were full of pain, the pain of betrayal. He wondered if Ru Yin felt the same when she knew that he had been seeing Huan Jia before they got married. 

No, she might have felt a million times worse. 

Ms Huan Jia's eyes widened with shock. She was so worked up that she had forgotten her cover. The middle-aged lady clumsily took a few steps back. No! 

Mr Li Jian scoffed, laughing at himself for being foolish. All this time, he protected her like a pearl. He disregarded all of his family when they shun her, disregarded his wife and son because of those two pair of eyes.

He thought she was pitiful and did not understand why his parents had forbidden this relations.h.i.+p in the first place. If he could turn back in time he wished he never met this devil. He wished, if only he listened to his parents. All he thought was that they were never on his side and never loved him, "Get out." That was his final words to a person who he thought he loved, but it was all a lie. Just a work of a love potion…

"No! Li Jian listen to me! I can explain." Ms Huan Jia hurriedly explained. She took a few steps forward to reach out to the love of her life. Unlike other times, when he would carefully pick her up and cherish her, he only gave her a cold shoulder. His eyes that were full of love were now full of nothing more than hatred. No, she did not believe it. Li Jian, he loved her only. No...

Mr Li Jian gestured his guards to take her away. When her arms were locked, Ms Huan Jia began fighting back with all her strength. She freed herself from the two guards but only stumbled forward, "Li Jian! Don't do this please, please." She cried with all her might.

On the other hand, Mr Li Jian pursed his lips in a tight line. He stepped coldly towards the person on the floor and crouched down. He then held her face in one of his hand mercilessly, "Huan Jia, you really should not have used this method. If only you used your feelings, we wouldn't have ended this way."

Ms Huan Jia's eyes widened. She was speechless.

Mr Li Jian continued, "Go back to where you belong, you don't belong here anymore."

The shock in Ms Huan Jia's eye subsided and only anger was replaced, "If I used my feelings, I would not have been here! You were the one who changed Li Jian. You turned your back on me and fell in love with that woman. I came first! You were mine before hers!"

Mr Li Jian pursed his lips and splashed a cold freezing truth to her, "Yes, the only person I loved and will ever love is Ru Yin. Thank you for showing me how much I love her. If you didn't use your potion then you wouldn't be rotting here. Well, farewells to you. Don't ever come back, but if you do, the first person you'll see is Ru Yin. I'll make sure you kneel down with your legs to her just like what you did to her. Guards! Take her away to where she came from!"

It was one shock after the other. Ms Huan Jia was now utterly speechless. How could he be this cruel to her!? How could he not love her! 

What Ms Huan Jia failed to think was that all along it was the love potion that loved her and not the soul of Mr Li Jian.

The middle-aged lady was then taken away from sight. This time, no matter how much she fought, she could not get away. 

On a rooftop of a closeby building, Mi Rong watched as a lady who looked as if she was out of her mind was brought to a black van. The lady was shoved inside the back of the car unkindly. In a black van, she was taken away quietly. Hmph! At least, aunty's husband was still in his right mind.

Now, all was left, was for her to tell aunty. Aya, if love could make people this insane. Mi Rong could feel a cold s.h.i.+ver through her body.
