5 Are There Really Cultivators In The Modern World?

I am only giving my opinion, and please feel free to disagree. Please don't hate/bully/dislike the "novel" just because of my opinions. The purpose of the Q/A is to prompt YOUR thinking. Thank for reading this. (I'm, by all means, just an amateur. I don't study psychology nor philosophy. I'm just giving my point of views on these broad, undefined questions.)

As shameless as the question may seem (As it sounds like the t.i.tle of my other book), has anyone ever wondered if cultivation really does exist in the real world? Is it just pure fantasy and imagination? As the writer of CMW (A martial arts/comedy/modern world) novel, I actually believe that cultivators actually may exist. Is there any evidence to support that? No. Is there any evidence to counter that? No. I, of course, am not convinced that there definitely are cultivators, but who knows?

Well, I don't. Let's look at both sides of the arguments. If there aren't Qi, cultivators and all that jazz, how did we manage to come up with these specific terms? The human brain is indeed fantastic and extremely creative, but I still don't believe that one can make up all this stuff up. Qi, to my knowledge, actually exists. Chinese martial arts still exist, and people still learn it. Well, can we actually develop a strand of Qi in our body? I'm unsure. Lots of people (probably not trolls) in China do claim that they have established a strand of Qi. Does that make them a cultivator? Yea, I think so. Are they telling the truth? I don't know. They are either lying to themselves for their entire lives, or they are telling the truth. Anything's possible, and cultivators may very well exist. Plus, Chinese martial arts have existed for thousands and thousands of years. Especially the acupoints, Taiji, tons of different martial art styles, is it even possible to make up so many things? Well, maybe, but unlikely. I think cultivation probably did happen in the past, but I doubt that anyone actually became an Immortal. Maybe they have, and they have ascended to the Heavens...

However, if there actually are cultivators, where would they be? Are they be hiding from the public? There is still no evidence, as we have never seen a cultivator who can fly or summon thunder. Well, it's possible that they have concealed themselves really well, but it's also unlikely. Well, martial arts and Qi are pa.s.sed down from ancient history. Who knows if they derived from cultivators in the past?

As much as I love Xianxia, I am not convinced that there are cultivators in the world. There may be, but it's highly unlikely in my opinion. It'd be cool though if they actually exist. If it does exist, I will definitely embark on the road of a cultivator. I'm quite childish, but I hope that this question made you think a little. So far, there still aren't any solid and proper evidence to claim that there are NO cultivators.
