Chapter 111: Deceiving Uncle Sheng (8)

Sheng Gu sobbed, and said, “I haven’t had a home for a long time… Where should I go back to? Fourth Uncle drove me out of his manor for her sake . ”

Not only the dowager, but Ji Xili’s thoughts also turned a little sluggish .

She gave Shu Nuan a gaze colder than before .

She didn’t expect that at this young age she would have such sinister means to be able to make Sheng Qianmo drive away his niece .

On the surface, the last sentence had been said to Sheng Gu, but it was meant for Shu Nuan to hear .

The empress dowager left with Shu Nuan, but Ji Xili stayed behind and followed Ji Xubai out of the hall . While walking in the corridor, she asked with an indifferent tone, “Do you know Shu Nuan?”

Ji Xubai was pondering something . After a long time, he stopped and glanced at his sister with a dark expression .

“What do you mean?”

“You don’t look like someone who usually helps people . ” 

She stared back at him .

He looked at her with a hint of interest, and said, “So what?”

“Does she have anything to do with you?” Ji Xili asked with an even colder voice .

It was no wonder she thought so . The last time she’d come to Ji Xubai, she’d seen his imprudence . He was able to mess with his own students in his own library . Shu Nuan was also one of his students . Most importantly, she’d heard so many bad remarks about Shu Nuan, and yet Ji Xubai had spoken up for her . It was natural to think like she did .

And if it was true, she really didn’t know how to mention such a thing to Sheng Qianmo .

He… How could he care for such a girl?

Ji Xubai raised his eyebrows a little .

“Today, such a huge matter  happened in the academy, but I didn’t expect that your main concern was my wellbeing and my problems . ”

Ji Xili gave him a sharp gaze .  

“Yes or no?”

“Is that what it is, you hope it’s true? If I said yes, will you go and tell that person so he can know what kind of person Shu Nuan is?” he mocked before laughing . “Ji Xili, you aren’t stupid . ”

“I just don’t want him to be deceived . ”

“Really? You mean Sheng Qianmo isn’t even allowed to play with a little girl?” 

Ji Xubai’s smile deepened, and he continued, “It doesn’t matter to me . Just go ahead and tell him . Maybe after you say it, he can put his heart on you . ”

“Ji Xubai, don’t speak nonsense!” 

Ji Xili didn’t know what to do with her brother, and so she gave him a fierce stare and turned around and left .
