From a distance, Ye Jiao could see Mu Hong busy training the soldier. Seeing him again made Ye Jiao recall a lot of memories from her past.

This was the place where she first met with that general and met with her first friends. He might be someone from the military, but the kindness that the general showed was much more than what she expected.

Turning her eyes to the wall, Ye Jiao utilized her Eon Energy and pushed Wei Liao up into the other side.

Soon afterwards, Ye Jiao followed and entered the forest. She looked at Wei Liao, who was busy rubbing his back.

Ye Jiao pointed to the direction of the houses. "They should be there. You should go now."

Before Wei Liao could finish his words, a guard appeared before them. Ye Jiao swiftly moved to the side and used her dagger to slit the man's stomach, pulling out his intestines out of his body. Blood splattered on the ground where the man fell and Ye Jiao moved to the other side and stabbed a guard that was about to attack her.

Everything happened in mere seconds to the point that Wei Liao was unable to believe his eyes. He had seen Ye Jiao's rank because she used her Eon Energy before, but this would be the first time he saw her use it for real. The way she moved was so swift without any waste movements.

The guards directly fell on the ground because of her.

Wei Liao quickly moved on the forest trail into the residential area. This was an abandoned place because it used to be the place where Ye Jiao's mother stayed. Wei Sheng didn't care for this place and let it be abandoned without anyone to tend it anymore.

As he was already familiar with the layout, it didn't take long for Wei Liao to reach Wei Mi's quarter. He easily evaded the servants as he could remember their schedule and location. Because he wanted to gain favor from Wei Mi, he used to memorize them all.

"Again," Wei Mi instructed the servant coldly. She was getting bored because her father forbade her from getting out of her quarter. Except from training, the only thing she could do would be interacting with her servants.

Behind the tree, Wei Liao was practically holding in with everything he had. Now that he saw it from another perspective he realized how foolish it was for him to act the way he did before. He had caused the lives of numerous people to be filled with misery just because he followed after Wei Mi's instruction.

She always thought of herself as someone above these people and that it would be alright for her to do everything she wanted. No one would be able to stop her to do anything she wished to do.

"Tsk, this is so boring," Wei Mi's words brought Wei Liao back to his senses. He saw Wei Mi waving her hand to dismiss the group of people before her. It was clear that she no longer has any interest in torturing that particular servant anymore.
