Chapter 201: A Shocking Sight

As the rain tapped against the windows, s.h.i.+ Beiyu was overtaken by boredom. Since he had nothing to do, he lay on the bed and took a nap with Mu Siyin in his arms.

However, he somehow overslept. It was Uncle Zhong’s knocking on the door that woke him up.

“Little Beibei, has Little Siyin woken up yet? Has her fever gone down?”

s.h.i.+ Beiyu fluttered his eyes open and looked out the window instinctively. The sky was already dark.

Upon hearing Uncle Zhong’s words, s.h.i.+ Beiyu hurriedly went to check on Mu Siyin. However, she was still in a deep sleep. Even Uncle Zhong’s calls did not wake her up.

“Little Beibei! Did you hear me?”

Only then did s.h.i.+ Beiyu lift his hand to touch Mu Siyin’s forehead. Noticing that the fever had already gone down, s.h.i.+ Beiyu got off the bed and headed towards the door.

Uncle Zhong had just said a word when the door opened with a creak. He instantly swallowed his words.

“She’s still sleeping, but the fever has gone down.”

When Uncle Zhong heard this, he smiled happily. “Good, good. But why is she still sleeping at this time? Shouldn’t she have dinner now?”

“It’s normal to sleep a little longer after taking some medicine. We’ll have dinner later.”

“Okay. I’ll inform the servant about it.”

After Uncle Zhong left, s.h.i.+ Beiyu closed the door and headed back to the bed. He said probingly, “Yinyin?”

Mu Siyin creased her forehead slightly as she turned in bed and continued sleeping.

Seeing this, s.h.i.+ Beiyu let out a soft sigh. He had no choice but to let her sleep.

Since he had not gone to the company that day, he still had some matters to attend to. So, he decided to head to his study.

Just as s.h.i.+ Beiyu turned to leave, Mu Siyin’s eyes snapped open on the king-sized bed and shut it again. She repeated it a few times before going into a deep sleep again.

Not long had pa.s.sed before a shocking sight unfolded.

Her messy long, black hair gradually turned red inch by inch. It was an alluring yet enchanting color…

After s.h.i.+ Beiyu got to his study, he dug deep into his work and lost track of time. Realizing that it was close to 9:00 p.m. yet s.h.i.+ Beiyu had not ordered the servants to serve him, Uncle Zhong rushed upstairs to check on him in the study.

“Little Beibei, why are you still working at this hour?”

As Uncle Zhong pushed open the door and entered the room, s.h.i.+ Beiyu looked up from his desk and said indifferently, “What time is it?”

Uncle Zhong snorted lightly. “It’s almost 9 p.m. If you’re not hungry, I bet that Little Siyin is. She should have her meal first. She still needs to take her medicine.”

s.h.i.+ Beiyu was somehow surprised when Uncle Zhong mentioned the time.

He was under the a.s.sumption that it was 8:00 p.m. He could not believe that time had flown past so fast.

“Okay. I’ll go wake her.”

Uncle Zhong nodded his head. “I’ll get the servants to set the table, then.”

“Okay.”

Once Uncle Zhong left, s.h.i.+ Beiyu hurriedly finished up the remaining tasks. Then, he stood up from the desk.

He glanced at the time. It was 9:05 p.m.

He could not help but shake his head and laughed. “What a deep sleeper. Who sleeps until this hour?”

s.h.i.+ Beiyu strode towards the door and headed outside as he mumbled to himself.

When he got to the second floor, he pushed open the door gently. The room was dimly lit with only a small lamp that he had left on.

He looked at the middle of the king-sized bed and noticed how soundly the pet.i.te figure was sleeping. He could not help but smile as he walked toward her.

“Yin…”

He had just gotten to the side of the bed and was about to wake Mu Siyin. However, the words suddenly got stuck in his throat, and he stood frozen on the ground.

Mu Siyin was sleeping on one arm on the bed. Her tiny, delicate face was facing his direction, yet… her gorgeous, silk black hair… It was…

It had… turned into a fiery-red color!
