Judge Lou's eyes twitched as he looked at what Jiang Chen's doing. No one ever in Body-Tempering has said that the treasure in the outer layer of the Impartment Hall has been "trash"

"Ah, here's something that might be worth grabbing!"

Jiang Chen walked up to a purple stick that looked similar to an arrow and gazed at the strange object. Its entire body was b.u.mpy which was unsuitable for a use of an arrow since this will cause the accuracy to decrease. The "arrow" had a blunt end which was only can only be used in practice and not in actual combat.

"Young lad, you should probably go use your time to find a more suitable item. This arrow has been here even before the inner and core chambers have been built. No one has the time and recklessness to pick this item."

Jiang Chen ignored Judge Lou's advice and extended his hand just before the barrier. Sparks and crackles started to appear before Jiang Chen's finger as he went through the barrier. His hand firmly grasped the rod before pulling it out.

Jiang Chen reviewed the rod as he swung it around himself and nodded his head. This was awfully close to Judge Lou's face as he quickly backed off.

"I'm going to go ahead."

Jiang Chen left for the inner chamber with the remaining winning contestants gawking at the scene. Judge Lou followed him with a grim face that seemed like he wanted to pull out someone's hair.

"Did you see that? That guy pulled out the arrow like it was nothing!"

"Do you really think that the guy made us win will be weak?"

Jiang Chen continued on the search for items that are rare inside the inner and core chambers. This reminded of shopping malls of his old life where everything was in one place, all for one's choosing. This had a nostalgic effect on Jiang Chen's mind since he was unable to buy anything from the over-priced high-end stores.

The price of points started to increase as they went closer into the chambers. This time Jiang Chen pulled out an item that seemed to be a perverted book.

"Ahem, this was a mystical artifact left behind by the ancient cultivator. He personally drew this book after he received a divination from a foreign land."

"You call this an artifact!? I can practically see that this as a h**tai manga that your ancient cultivator here used to jerk off. Can you be more thick-skinned?"

Judge Lou was clearly embarra.s.sed but was unable to do anything. If he were to kill the 1st place winner, he might as well be signing a contract to be executed by his own father.

Jiang Chen stored the book and started to walk off with Judge Lou following him. They reached the core chamber where Jiang Chen spotted a pill furnace in the distance and ran over. The entire furnace was black in color with just a golden band at the top and was only about the size of a golf ball.

"This is a pure robbery of my remaining points!"

Jiang Chen grumbled at the loss of 50 points and pulled out the furnace. He examined the pill furnace and kept within his inner pockets.

"Alright, I'm done."

Judge Lou's face lit up as he had been walking around with Jiang Chen for about an hour. He quickly s.n.a.t.c.hed Jiang Chen and brought him near the exit of the chamber where the rest of the winners where. One of the winners managed to get an iron sword with great difficulty as his entire body was charred back. They left the chamber in order to get back to their own sect before night falls.

"Headmaster, I am back."

The headmaster just pointed at the seat that was in front of her desk in an icy demeanor. Jiang Chen sat down and carefully gazed up at her. His thoughts wandered off to another place just when she began to talk.

"Did you think about your actions carefully?"

"Yes, headmaster!"

"Judging from your words, I a.s.sume that you are ready from your punishment."

Jiang Chen was confused at the words of the headmaster.

"Why am I getting punished?"

"Do you know that consequence of using an unknown mean of winning? Everyone is now talking about how my sect is becoming an unorthodox sect from your actions today."

Jiang Chen suddenly realized the drawback of using a method that enabled him to easily acquire 1st place and tried to appease the angry headmaster.

"I am willing to accept the punishment Headmaster has for me."

She nodded and thought the punishment for a while before saying

"The punishment is that over the next few days, you will come with me and fix the relations.h.i.+p we have lost because of this event. Even if one is not repaired, you are going to face my wrath!"
