The head master's beautiful voice came into Jiang Chen's mind. The demonic beast landed in a open arena like the ones that gladiator fought at. A long staircase spiraling up into the clouds and many people were looking where the interception is.

Many people where gathering around arena after Jiang Chen asked. Many came by using the front entrance and few came by demonic beast from the sky. People were wondering if they are gonna be the first one to climb to the top.

She turned around and looked at the group before walking off to leave them alone. Jiang Chen just rested in the corner and closed his eyes. Before long, a really old voice enveloped the entire arena.

"It all started with one person.....Then it became a group.....and now finally it has become a force that populates this world. As the event host, I am proud to announce the start of the Heaven's Ascent. Please line up at the base of the tower to start the event."

"I heard that this voice belongs to the last surviving ancient cultivator that was part of the group."

Talking broke out and people started to get up and crowded the tower. An invisible barrier prevented anyone from stepping onto the first step.

As soon as the majority of the people in the arena was near the tower, a sound came from the first step. Cracks appeared in the air as it shattered into a thousand pieces. Surprisingly, when any of the pieces touched the people in the front, it just phased through them. The moment that they recovered from their initial shock, people started to rush up the tower.

"Hurry!!"

"Get out of my way!"

People were pus.h.i.+ng each other and shoving others out of the way. Jiang Chen stood there acting as if nothing was happening. The moment the people stepped onto the first step, the amount of people were cut off by a half.
