For now though I was looking over my Skills list wonder what to put my 15 points into because I finally leveled up again as the rockets were launching.

I put 5 into Lockpicking to finally get it to 50 so I can open the safe with the slavery receipt without having to waste a magazine.

Then I put 3 into Sneak also raising it to an even 50. One of things I've noticed while upgrading my skills over the months was that at 25, 50, 75, and 100 all of my skill had huge upgrades in their effectiveness. So for the near future I decided on upgrading all of my skills that were close to one of those watersheds.

I had 7 Skill points left to use and put six of them into Unarmed making it 25. I thought it was a good investment since it was a skill that saved my life not too long ago.

And as for the last point I put it into Survival making it 20.

Now that I was done with my skills it was time to pick a new Perk! Looking over everything it was obvious what perk I should get.

I unlocked the Weapon Handling perk that reduced the Strength requirements for all weapons by 2.

Now I could finally use That Gun without it almost breaking my wrist and flying out of my hand. Not to mention I was getting closer to New Vegas where I could buy a Anti Material Rifle from the Gun Runners and that thing has a ma.s.sive Strength requirement of 8.

So the minus will really help their, I'm still one point short but, I can just buy a Strength implant after I make a bit of money so I don't have to waste another perk on Intense Training.

The next day after we got back to Novac I introduced Chris to Manny Vargas as he would probably need some help getting started in town. When I met him Manny seemed oddly excited to see me.

Apparently he told everyone what I said about the ghouls and when the rockets blazed overhead yesterday they all knew exactly what it was. It was the most interesting thing that had happened to the town in ages not to mention that they could go back to looting everything at Repconn.

I left Chris in his care and went back to my motel room where I met Ca.s.s. From what she told me she got back into town yesterday not long after I left.

It was easy getting back into the motel lobby because Jeannie didn't bother to lock it. And it didn't take long to find the floor safe hidden underneath a rug.
