Chapter 88: Prove It 2

Susu wiggled her fingers and ma.s.saged them, "Just in case Miss. Karen claims it to be unfair again. Let's give her one last chance to prove that the rose design is hers. Other than the brand tag that anyone could forge or add on to the design and the sketches that anyone could steal, what other evidence can you show us?"

Karen's fist trembled as she smashed it against the table surface behind her, "I only have those two. So what? Let's see how well you can prove it!"

"Since Miss. Karen has spoken that she has no other methods of proving this rose design as her own, then it is now my turn to prove that I am the original designer. And the stealer and copy cat here would only be Miss. Karen once I present visible evidence. Do you all agree with me?" Susu asked the audience with most of them nodding and shouting out yes.

Once she said those words, the judges stepped forward and decided to be the witnesses for her. Lin Que walked out of the crowd with a shoe box in his hand. Everyone's eyes focused on him as Susu opened the box and brought out a pair of pastel pink slip ons with petals like strings dangling loosely.

Karen scoffed, "This is your so-called evidence?"

"Did I say that I was finish with explaining? As everyone could see, the model is wearing a beautiful dress with matching accessories. The only thing that does not match up is the pair of several inch heels that Miss. Karen claimed to have designed because she thought that it went well with the outfit. Now, what if we have the model try on the adjustable slip ons that I designed?"

Lin Que took an empty chair from the side for the model to sit down while Susu helped her change into the pastel pink colored slip ons. Susu explained as she helped adjust the shoes and tied the strings to fit the model's leg shape, "When I first designed this rose set, I never saved the designs for the shoes to my laptop, in which, was later too damaged for file recovery because Miss. Karen had an accident with it. By the way, for those who doesn't know, she's my stepsister whom I previously lived with."

"Anyways, I worked on designing the shoes separately from the programs as it failed to live up to my expectations, so I did everything hands on. Every single design that I made is uniquely marked with my initials, which I've already proved using today's product. Of course, I also understand that having a pair of shoes that matches with the outfit would not help prove much, but I wanted to take things slowly."

The strings looked like rose stems that hugged the model's leg perfectly. The judges nodded in agreement as they looked at the model from top to shoes. Karen crackled her knuckles, "That's not enough to prove anything!!"

"Did I not just say that I knew it's not enough? I just wanted to see the complete set before proving everything to your face. First off, I would like the model to turn around for me."

After the model did as instructed, Susu took the petal that stuck out slightly more than the rest right below her waistline and flipped it up. Then she started layer by layer, choosing different petals and folding it upwards. The petals were designed to stay tilted upwards when folded at the right angle.

Finally, the last petal was pointed upwards, and Susu rubbed her fingers together, "I wanted my design to be one of a kind so I made this dress one that the petals could bend and form a three dimensional flower. It is perfect for flower festivals and different occasions. The theme for this design was mythical. And I named this flower fairy."

"Hah! How is this a fairy? At most it is just a girl popping out of a rose! Lies!" Karen tried to sway the crowd's opinion.

"Wow, you really try hard to make yourself look even worse. Impressive. Well, I'm sure everyone else has that question and I'm not afraid to answer it." Susu took the microphone and said, "Darling, dim the lights and use the special lighting that we talked about."

The lights in the room dimmed more than before and the special lights shone onto the model with the rose. Susu instructed the model to walk around and spin slowly like a real modeling show. Everyone's eyes widened when they saw the model's shadow. The rose petals sparkled under the lighting, but when the model moved around, fairy like wings formed as part of her shadow.

At first, the petal's shadow was shaped like regular petals, but as the model moved along the areas with the special light, the sizes of the petals changed and wings formed through different angles. The wings grew slowly, spread, and even flapped as she moved.

Lin Que walked away from the crowd and took a basket with him. While the staff controlled the lighting so that it'll follow the model around, Chen Mu found a fan to help with the following surprise for the audiences.

When Susu looked up and saw Chen Mu's okay hand gesture, she smiled and announced, "And.. the last surprise that I have for everyone is...a spring's breeze." Flower petals sprinkled down, adding effects to the model's walk. Lin Que and Chen Mu were spreading and throwing petals to the fan from above, making a spring scenery.

It was sweet and beautiful as many whispered, "woah..." and "wow..." The model's hand reached out for a few petals that landed on her palms. She stopped and sniffed the petals from her hands before tossing it in the air. The judges were amazed by such an impressive scene. It's been a while since they've seen a design as different as this one. The earrings that the model wore made the shadows of her ears appear a little sharper; like a mythical creature.

Not only that, the shadows of the wings had the initials, Y.S., on the tip of the wings. When they ran out of petals, the lights slowly returned to its original brightness. Everyone applauded her work and judges were shouting, "Splendid!"

Susu crossed her arms and looked at Karen, "Did you see it clearly or would I have to replay the whole catwalk show for you? Hmm? My initials were engraved in my designs and at places that you would never notice. Therefore, you would never be able to remove my initials. You aren't so smart like you claimed yourself to be now, huh?"

"Y..You.."

"I, what? did you want to say that I cheated again? Sorry, but you're the one who chose the model, not me. No matter how it turns out, I wouldn't be able to cheat. Plus, if you were the original designer then you would've known about the shadows and wings. Unfortunately, you didn't show that part off and didn't know even a bit about the product. Copy cats will always just be a counterfeiter."

Professor Luo Xia smiled and interrupted Susu, "now that we're here right now, I suddenly remember something very important as well."
