Although the tsunami wasn't as grand as the one Lu Ping experienced on Silver Sword Island, it was enough to shake a mini island like Huang Li Island.

Chen Lian looked at the approaching tsunami with squinted eyes, and said to Hu Lili beside him, "Go to the chassis, if there's another target, that will be it."

Hu Lili had the same thought and hurriedly left towards the cave-dwelling to protect the formation chassis.

Suddenly, a huge ax appeared out of nowhere above her and cleaved down!

Before Hu Lili could protect herself, a burning boulder flew past her and blocked the huge ax. The boulder smashed into pieces while the huge ax was sent flying backwards from the impact.

Chen Lian moved past Hu Lili and intercepted the Core Forging Realm human pet who had revealed his tracks during the attack. This human pet must have cast a stealth skill to sneak onto Huang Li Island without them noticing.

Hu Lili didn't slow down and continued making her way to the cave-dwelling. Chen Lian questioned the human pet furiously, "As an Enlightened Master, aren't you ashamed to be a pet to the monsters!?"

The human pet didn't say a word and continued to attack Chen Lian with an emotionless face. The battle between the two of them forced the other cultivators to distance themselves.

A few moments later, as Hu Lili was close to entering the cave-dwelling, a barrage of ice projectiles, together with a breath of cold air, lunged at her!

Hu Lili's heart sank after discovering that there was another Core Forging Realm human pet. This confirmed her guess that the monster race wasn't the only one behind this, someone within the sect had leaked the island's defensive forces to the monsters!

A flash of green lights appeared in Hu Lili's eyes; she pulled her shrug off and waved it in front. Immediately, all of the ice projectiles were absorbed by the shrug and disappeared.

Right after, a cultivator pierced the shrug and struck a sword towards her face. Hu Lili looked at the cultivator with a trace of mockery and continued to move forward.

When the sword struck Hu Lili, she disappeared into a puff of smoke and the cultivator suddenly noticed the surroundings had turned blurry as if the world was covered behind a piece of cloth. The cultivator immediately knew this was a trap, and quickly surged his true energy to cleave in front of him and break open the trap.

However, it was too late.

Hu Lili had already moved past him and entered the cave-dwelling which was protected by the cave-dwelling's protective formation.

The tsunami finally reached the island and slammed down. Hu Lili's expression changed drastically while the cultivators on the island exclaimed in shock and horror.

The island quaked, the light dome from the island protection formation shuddered and became distorted, but in the end, it withstood the tsunami.

At the same time, the protective formation was heavily damaged and close to its breaking point after taking the brunt of the attack. The monster Enlightened Masters waiting outside of the island quickly seized the opportunity and attacked the formation, opening up huge holes on the light dome allowing the monster cultivators to enter the island.

Hu Lili rushed to the formation chassis and replaced the spirit stones that had exploded while directing the third spirit vein's spiritual energy completely into supporting the formation.

Within an instant, the protective formation's light dome became brighter and thicker. Only the Mid Core Forging Realm monsters were able to open holes on the light dome now, and the holes were smaller and recovered much faster.

"Not good, the protective formation is strengthening. Damn it, what are those two doing? Useless pets!"

The monster Enlightened Masters grew unhappy. The Mid Core Forging Realm monsters worked together and opened a huge hole on the light dome, while three Early Core Forging Realm monsters slipped through the hole and entered the island.

Right after the three monster Enlightened Masters entered the island, the protective formation shone brightly, and the huge hole was closed.

In the cave-dwelling, Hu Lili stroked her sweaty bangs and heaved a sigh of relief after finally bringing the protective formation back from a breaking point to a fully operational state. With the spiritual energy from the spirit vein and spirit stones, the island was now temporarily safe from the monster attacks.

Hu Lili turned her attention to the cave-dwelling's protective formation that was currently under attack from the Core Forging Realm human pet. Although the cave-dwelling's protective formation wasn't as strong as the island's protective formation, it was still able to defend against an Early Core Forging Realm Enlightened Master's attacks for some time.

Two of them were battling Chen Lian, two of them were laying siege to the cave-dwelling's protective formation, and the last one was slaughtering the cultivators on the island to weaken the island's defense.

Yet, the island's teleportation formation was destroyed; reinforcements from the sect would take much longer to travel all the way to Huang Li Island. Their closest help, Qu Xuan-Cheng, had been stopped and held back by the monster race's Mo Wei.

As a result, the only card left to play was to bring Lu Ping out from closed-door cultivation.

Just when Hu Lili was hesitating about alerting Lu Ping, a young and timid voice suddenly sounded out from behind her.
