"What's wrong Modesty is all of this overwhelming?"

Grandmother Su asked. Modesty gave a watery smile.

"No, it's just that I thought I would be doing all of this with my mom and aunt Camillia. It's just."

Modesty paused trying to stop the tears.

Both Grandmother Su and Qai Fei Hong understood what was wrong. When a woman is little she dreams about her wedding and how her mother is normally with her helping her plan and decide how her wedding is going to be. But, for Modesty her mother was dead and her aunt was possibly part of a murder plot so she didn't have the people that she wanted most with her during this momentous occasion. All she had was two women that she barely knew. They didn't feel offended, but they were sad for Modesty's sake.

"We understand Modesty."

Grandmother Su said patting her on the shoulder.

"This is a time when a woman normally does these things with her mother and yours has pa.s.sed away. I know that we don't compare to your mother but will you let us step into her place?"

Modesty gave them a watery smile and nodded then she stood up and hugged them both. She began to look earnestly at the different things they brought to help her plan for her wedding.
