Su Jin Chu sucked in his breath.

"Modesty must be devastated."

"En."

Was all that Su Jin Wei said.

"So, what do you want to do?"

"Kill him." Su Jin Chu chuckled.

"He is still her uncle. What about her aunt, did she know anything?"

"No."

Su Jin Chu knew his son well, Jin was angry. Especially if he was using one-word sentences.

"Modesty cried."

Su Jin Chu sighed, now he understood the late-night phone call.

"Her aunt called and said that her uncle is now in the country."

"What!!"

Su Jin Chu roared.

"Take Modesty first thing in the morning to the condo. He won't be able to find her at Osmanthus, we just purchased the condo a few weeks ago. He won't be able to find Osmanthus in any record. You mother bought it as a wedding present for you and Modesty."

Su Jin Wei's face softened a little at hearing his father mention his upcoming wedding to Modesty. He finally had the woman he loved and he refused to allow her uncle to take her away again.

"It's a good thing that you two have already registered your marriage. I don't want Keith to try and say we kidnapped Modesty or try and s.n.a.t.c.h her away."

Su Jin Wei growled.

"She's mine."

Su Jin Chu chuckled.

"We know Jin calm down. I am going to go to bed now, and I believe you need to go be with that wife of yours before she wakes up. She is going to need a lot of comfort over the next few weeks. We don't know what her uncle has planned and we need to come up with some ideas on how to combat him. Good night son."

Su Jin Chu hung up and walked back into the bedroom.

"Was that Jin? Are he and Modesty arguing?"

Su Jin Chu crawled into bed.

"Yes that was Jin, but no he and Modesty aren't fighting. It turns out that Modesty's uncle was in cahoots with the Zuangs to kill Modesty's parents."

Qai Fei Hong covered her mouth.

"Oh, no poor Modesty."

"I told Jin to take her to Osmanthus in the morning and stay there. He can't find them there since we just bought it."

Qai Fei Hong nodded.

"That's good. Grandmother and I will go over and keep her occupied with wedding plans. We will also call her a.s.sistant and get her a.s.sistant in on this. We need to protect her as much as possible, but we can't hold her hostage she will resent us."

Su Jin Chu kissed Qai Fei Hong.

"Good idea, now let's go to sleep."
