Modesty woke up the next morning, feeling refreshed and hungry she hadn't slept so well in a long time . As she started to get up to go to the bathroom, Modesty froze realizing two things . One, she wasn't in her hotel room and two there was an arm thrown across her waist pinning her down . Modesty turned her head to see Su Jin Wei staring back at her .

"Good, you're finally awake . "

Modesty blinked twice .

"Why am I not at my hotel?"

"My house was closer . Plus, my family and I think it's safer and more convenient for you to stay here for the duration of your visit . "

Modesty sat up .

"I appreciate the offer but I have my a.s.sistant Chu Hua Huan looking for a place I can rent for the time being . Can you take me to my hotel so that I can wash up and change?"

Su Jin Wei sat up as well .

"No need, I had a.s.sistant Zhang bring your bags over from the hotel . "

Su Jin Wei waved his hand over to the corner of his room where her bags sat .

"I also had you checked out of your hotel, so you could stay here at Peony Gardens . "

Modesty looked at Su Jin Wei shocked and angry .

"What?"

She jumped up out of the bed .

"How could you do this without asking me? Why would you a.s.sume I would just want to up and stay with you? Is it because you say you're friends with my parents? I can't believe the nerve of you . "

Su Jin Wei stood up, his eyes had iced over, he was not pleased with the turn of events . He expected Modesty to be happy with his offer . Any woman would have jumped at the chance so, he didn't think to ask her, her opinion . He had forgotten that his fiancee wasn't just any woman .

"I apologize for not asking your opinion, we were so happy that you're here, we didn't think to ask you . "

Su Jin Wei made a mental correction .

'I was so happy that you were here, that I wanted you by my side forever' .

Modesty walked over to Su Jin Wei and touched him on his arm .

"I understand but we haven't known each other that long for me to be living with you . So next time please talk to me, I can be reasonable if you discuss something with me . "

Su Jin Wei nodded, he put his hand over Modesty's, he wanted to keep her touching him just a little while longer .
