Both men and women gossiped, trying to the reason behind the party. Nonetheless, it was a joyous event which everyone is more than happy to attend.

Amidst the crowd, two figure strolled leisurely. The shorter figure dressed in light blue, giving off a refres.h.i.+ng and calm look. Meanwhile, the taller figure dressed in red, giving off a lively and seductive aura. The two figure contrasted greatly in both stature and clothing, yet when placed together, they give off a sense of balance.

The red figure pouted, with his arms crossed against his chest. "How come we can't take the chicken?"

"Because it's not even ours!" The blue figure sighed exasperatedly.

"What do you mean it's not ours? Is it not clucking around in the house right now?"

"Stealing it does not count." The blue figure glared at the red one with a pointed look.

"Well... Haven't you heard the saying: Finders, keepers. Losers, Weepers."

The blue figure gave the red one a slap to the back of the head. "Qiu Zhi, have you no morals?"

The older male just pouted.

The surrounding villagers laughed off their heads, seeing the immature pair of adults. Although their words sound a little fishy, they all ignored it in favour of the good atmosphere.

While the two figure jest and teased each other, there were sachets were hanging off each of their shoulders. Looking small and innocent, the villagers overlooked this small detail. An action that will make them all turn in regret in the near future.

"But you had no problem betraying a comrade, did ya Xi Rin?" The red male snapped back to something the blue female said.

The girl's jaw dropped. "You're still salty about that?! I'm sorry for what happened earlier today, okay? Just forgive me already."

Qiu Zhi just pouted even more. Hurrumphing, he turned his head the other way, refusing to even look at 'traitorous' Xi Rin.
