1 Prologue

"Found it. 500 meters in that direction… Nothing's moving."

"Good."

The others started moving faster as soon as they heard her speak. They can't see anything through the darkness of the night but they take their heavy sticks in their hands and started to walk faster.

"We have to move faster. We have to take care of this today.."

"Aren't we just wasting time?"

"Shhh, Chunghwan."

"Whatever."

Their bickering didn't end until they reached their destination. The monster must have left but it's still always dangerous. Everyone in this place are skilled hunters.

"Something's strange. Why isn't it moving?"

He said with a husky voice and the another guy answers back in a serious voice.

"Shhh. Don't make a sound… The monster must have escaped over the gate, it must have gotten tired? Let's finish quickly. Jolhu... Miyeong, go into formation D."

"Got it."

They spread across the ground without making a sound on the dried leaves. The path soon grew narrow and they saw something curled up in a small boulder in a the valley. It's was something they've never laid their eyes on. It was huge and was armed with s.h.i.+ny armor.

"Chunghwan!"

"I'm on it!"

They didn't go any further as Chunghwan in solid armor, ran towards that direction. Two others ran in behind him. And by one small late step, he quickly moves his hand.

"Haahahah!!! What do we have here..."

But, he saw the scaly armor it's wearing. He drew his sword and striked. Chunghwan then became tired making a flat noise and putting down his sword.

The people that rushed behind him stopped with an obvious hint of confusion on their faces.

"What are you doing?!"

The guy who ran i behind in the far back loosens his hands and yells,

"Again!"

"Again?!"

After Jukhwan said that, he frowned and he walks towards the creature covered with armor. It was like a gigantic armadillo but it had eight legs and a on its head were three large tentacles.

Sticking out of it was one arrow…

It was sticking out of about one bone. Daejang saw the arrow and reaches for it.

"Uh! DaeJang! If you touch that…!"

Chunghwan tried to stop him but it was too late, his hand were faster than he could warn him. DaeJang strongly pulled the arrow out of the monster's head.

Instead of a normal-looking arrow, what he got was a really short black arrow…

DaeJang looked at the arrow and furrowed his brows.

"He was right."

The arrowhead has a broken tip. Arrows usually has a triangular shaped spade and the material that the monster's body was covered in is black. The arrow was white and it looks as if there was crooked writing written with it on the monster's armor.

"Don't touch it… Ugh… If you were going to take it you should have done it fast. What number is this monster."

There were no traces of the arrows owner and there's a kind waring written but DaeJang already touched it. He then took a low breath and looked around the area where the monster slumbered.

"It looks like one room…The inside is completely ragged..."

Jolhu was called to use a sharp knife to sc.r.a.pe the whole that the arrow came out of. Miyeog looks around the place anxiously.

"Where are we going now?"

DaeJang answered..

"Who cares! We're still dealing with today's steal monster…"

"It's not steal."

Said the guy who pulled the arrow out of the monster's head with his bare hands.

"It's getting cold. we have about 2 hours…"

"Gos.h.!.+ I guess we have to hurry and bring take it."

"How about the others gathering things at night, they're not moving, right?"

"d.a.m.n.. Who cares. Let's call it a day.."

After that, DaeJang threw the arrow on the ground. Venting his anger out on the arrow… But, that action was a big mistake.

Bangg!

Something white, sharp and plasticity pa.s.sed by his head along with a big gush of wind.

"Argh!"

He holds his head with both hands and sunk to the floor in pain. He was wearing a helmet so he's lucky that it's not as bad as it could have been. but the pain still remained unbearable.

After DaeJang was attacked, he hurriedly alerted the others. They see something on top of the monster's head and swallow nervously.

There was a falcon. There was a strange red light coming from it's entire body and it seems to become almost 10 times bigger. It can give the illusion of being a monster, the falcon's body is covered in amazing armor with a small sign hanging from it's neck that caught their attention.

'The second warning: Irritate it and deal with the consequences. -Owner, Bheak.'

"Dam it…"

He realized why it attacked him and felt frustrated due to his carelessness. He looked through the sharp eyes of the falcon and slowly took a few timid steps away. He wanted to fight back at the falcon but by the rumors he had heard, this falcon is not something you want to mess with. He heard that some team attacked it while it was mad and lost many of their fingers.

Of course it could have been just a rumor but, the moment you irritate this falcon then even it's owner will go after you. An arrow to the foot makes a third tier monster quiet… Unless they want to lose, then it looks like they'll have to calmly end the raid.

"Let's go."

"Okay."

After Daejang said that, they headed back towards their path with no hesitation.

Although he's angry that all their efforts went to waste, there's nothing to do about it.

He heard about what people said about the arrow's owner and that he should erase his prints off of it.

Or he can become his target.
