54 The Comeback Of The Exiled

Raigon stared in wide-eyed bewilderment at the comatose woman lying helplessly.

He rattled the entry to the cabin violently with his hammer-like knocks.

"Gao Zemin!" He howled furiously at the top of his voice. He had never been alone with a deteriorating human in his entire subsistence. He didn't know any medical practices. He could only search for a helping arm from anybody at all who has knowledge in it.

Even though he has seen how excellent Zoe was as a doctor, he cannot risk her survival and ask her to stick around here in this land.

By good fortune, Gao Zemin was in the house. He didn't unlock the door at once for fear that it may be from the Castle who just coveted something from him. Again.

But when he peeked through the narrow window along with seeing the royal family's horse, he jumped to his feet and threw the doorcase wide open.

Raigon abruptly withdrew the ident.i.ty tag that he kept concealed and revealed it to Gao Zemin

On the nail, Gao Zemin bowed and rushed outside in the direction of where the Crown Prince was.

"She's dying!" Raigon grumped as he ran toward the side of the lady and rocked her out.

Gao Zemin's eyes widened in perplexity at the scene. He has not treated any patient for a considerable amount of time.

Without further ado, Raigon carried her up. Afterward, he put her down on a protracted table. Zemin Gao went to his dresser. He accurately sorted out his acupuncture needles so he could a.s.sist her to continued survival.

He tested her pulse together with her breathing to identify what is wrong with her. It implied that she had barely recovered from a life and death condition. And she had encountered another such case again, which caused severe problems with her heart.

He carefully monitored if she had other injuries. Thank merciful heavens, she had none. At that minute, he elevated her legs and feet slightly. Her clothes were drenched, and she looked like she has been in the deep sea. In a double-quick pace,  he got some thick blankets to prevent her from chilling.

"I'll do my best to help her survive." He gently pulled out a sterile needle from his needle box and knowingly operated on her with his choicest acupuncture intervention.

Raigon unconsciously placed his arms on his back as he watched Gao Zemin revive the paralyzed woman.

'Who was this ambiguous woman? And why did she appeared at this exact moment in my existence?' He contemplated as Gao Zemin attended to her.

At the outset, her face was worked up. Her muscles were rigid, and she was engaging in an inner battle to remain alive. But after a few meaningful minutes of Gao Zemin's effective mediation, she became instantly relaxed and appeared as if she was just sleeping.

Gao Zemin fizzled out before standing up. "She needs to rest so she could recover properly, your Highness."

"I understand," Raigon muttered. He sighed in profound relief. 'Whoever she is, at least she's presently in good hands.'

But could she just abandon her here? He glanced wistfully at Gao Zemin. His hair was greying, and signs of age could already be seen in her matured face. But in spite of this, he could see the cordial man who constantly talks to him when he was young.

"You could turn her over here, sire." He exclaimed straight away while cleaning up clutters inside his house.

Raigon crinkled his sympathetic eyes. He was really loyal to the royal family. He suddenly got fascinated by why he was restricted from the Castle. But he didn't dare ask.

"Are you sure?" He confirmed with him as he sat down and glanced over him. His private life may get in potential danger again.

Gao Zemin smirked. "No one was resolved enough to know that I'm living here, except you and your beloved father."

He was right. After he was forbidden, King Artair provided him in this unknown place so he could settle down quietly. He has visited him secretly. And sometimes, he brought Raigon along with him. That's why he has an idea where he lived.

"How is he?" He gave a bright look at Raigon. It seemed that the frightening period is over since he could already beam.

Raigon heaved out a deep sigh. He recalled the situation of the King. He too required some urgent medical treatment.

"Is it not possible for you to return to the Castle?" He respectfully inquired of him. It's not that he didn't trust the Royal Infirmary. But he could not recognize anyone with the same concern and care as Gao Zemin.

"Don't worry, I'll visit soon, your Highness. My period of restriction is nearing its end."

Raigon expressed tenderness at him. "Much appreciated. It means a lot."

He was about to retire when he observed the lady murmuring. He drew near to her and put his ear behind her lips, so he could hear her well.

Raigon's eyes widened in bewildered surprise when he heard what she was mentioning.

"Zoe… Zoe…"
