Erin, by heart, is the event organizer of their upcoming reunion this year. She has been a regular on this lovely isle.

She naturally wishes to make sure that everybody will appreciate their festive holiday there. Even though it's just for a few memorable days.

She was already fixing herself to escort them at the airport when she affirms if Zoe wants to go with her or not.

"Give me one good reason I should not be." Zoe shrugged. She looked for what to wear on top of her tropical print knotted top swimsuit with cutout details.

Even if she would be alone, she went out and enjoy her remaining days at the isle. She put on a simple wide-striped sleeveless maxi dress with large pockets.

"Because you will not be lonesome. You have Red with you," She teased her while b.u.mping her hips with hers. It made her almost fall on the polished floor.

Zoe glared fiercely at her longtime friend as she regained her balance. She let it go as he heaved a deep sigh. "I don't need a man to make me complete."

It is partly correct. She was living independently all her life. It's pleasant that she has dear friends like Erin and Cayden who appeared every so often. But most of the time, she was detached. And she's contented with that.

But sometimes she felt vulnerable. She wished someone could protect her and make her feel secure.

Ignoring her, she picked up a wide-brimmed floppy straw hat to compliment the beach effect. She placed it on her head and s.h.i.+fted it sideways while checking herself in the mirror. Then, she turned to Erin and winked slyly.

"I'm still mad at you for injuring my olfactory nerves a while ago, you know." She mocked her as she tried to deviate from the topic.

Erin chortled without feeling embarra.s.sed at all. "Why? Have you smelled a fragrant fart before?" She placed her forefinger directly under Zoe's dainty nose and made an evil laugh.

"Eeew! Go away!" Zoe grimaced and shoved Erin, who simply smirked as she bid her farewells.

"I already cast a stinking spell on you. Sincerely hope you have a fragrant day!" She grinned menacingly as she picked up her precious bag and left the luxury hotel room.

"Geez, what a splendid way to ruin a day! Hmph!" She stomped her shapely feet and stood up.

At that point, she pulled out her newly bought Beauty Queens Hibiscus Palm Eau de Parfum. She brought this on her travel to the island and thought it would smell heavenly while she was staying there.

She sprayed this on the air and wiggled her way as its droplets fall to the ground. It smelled like a blend of exotic flowers, wrapped in the velvety sweetness of coconut and vanilla.

"I'm now free from your dreadful curse, Cruella de Ville," she smiled triumphantly. She then sniffed the floral scent of eternal summer.

In a few more minutes, she properly packed her travel bag and left the luxury hotel to go to the Reeftastic Eco Tour. Fortunately, one tourist wasn't capable to go to the island during her booking date, so she was able to squeeze in.

Zoe remembered the legend about a hidden city above Ball's Pyramid that the taxi driver revealed to her. Because of it, she chose the Ball's Pyramid Excursion.

She was just on time before the boat leaves the dock. In her count, there must be twenty of them, 22 including the gallant captain and his a.s.sistant.

They look ordinary to her except for one mysterious-looking lady whose head is covered in a shawl.

'I wonder who she is,' she contemplated with furrowed eyebrows as she climbed down on the boat.

"h.e.l.lo, you must be Ms. Cheng," one of the crews greeted her as he offered his hand to a.s.sist her in getting to the boat.

"I'm Koby Nevin. I'm one of the local crews of this expedition," he introduced himself and offered his eager hand.

She accepted it with an amiable smile. "Much appreciated."

At that time, he motioned her to connect to the other pa.s.sengers on the boat with his arm directed towards them.

As they were walking, he pointed his finger at an elderly gentleman who looks like the dear Captain of the s.h.i.+p.

"That good-looking big guy over there is Nicholas Crowe. But we merely call him Capt. Nicky."

Capt. Nicky tenderly lifted his peaked cap and nodded in cheerful greetings to her.

'The staffs here are genuinely nice.' She muttered to herself as she look for an unoccupied seat.

One gracious lady ushered her to sit in an empty chair beside her. "Hi, you can have this." She patted on the vacant spot and grinned at her.

Zoe grinned back and seated herself. "Is it your first time?" She asked as she brought out a water bottle for her.

'Wow, even the guests are delightful.' She thought as she gratefully accepted the water bottle from the lady. As she was in a rush, she forgot to bring some with her.

"Yeah, it is my first time," she replied in a demure way.

"Oh, you're going to love it. I have been here three memorable times and it astonishes me every time." She commented as she readies herself as the expedition boat is about to leave.

'I guess I am really free from Erin's c.r.a.ppy curse. I'm absolutely having a fragrant day today!' She concluded as she gazed at the vast ocean.
