Mengyao Xu's face turned an odd color. "Could there be demonic beasts? Maybe they ate up this self-cultivator and only left one foot."

Qingfeng Li did not say anything. Black Puppy shook his head. "There aren't any demonic beasts' auras here. As a dog ancestor, I am very familiar with all the demonic beasts. If there were any, I would be the first to spot them."

Qingfeng Li nodded and explained to Mengyao Xu, "Little black is right. Since there are no demonic beasts, this self-cultivator was not devoured by a demonic beast but by something else."

Qingfeng Li nodded. Even before the Peach Blossom She-Devil told the story, he knew that these red trees were demon trees.

Once, Qingfeng Li had met some carnivorous flowers and plants. If there were flowers that could eat humans, carnivorous trees were no news.

Qingfeng Li told his people, "Step back. Let me get a look at what this red demon tree really is."

The stone b.u.mped into the edge of the red tree, bounced back, and then disappeared close by.

A giant branch hit down from above. That branch was at least a few hundred meters long. It pierced the void and crashed against the golden light, which made a resounding noise. 

At the next second, the golden light dissipated, however, it broke a small piece of that giant branch. 

After a small piece of the branch was broken, bright red blood gushed out from the cut. The blood was the same as human blood and was very pungent.
