6 How Did My Situation Get Worse Than Before?

The hallways were filled with expensive looking paintings with exquisite velvet wallpaper. The floor were all marble tiles and most of the cla.s.srooms had automatic gla.s.s doors. The strange thing was that this large place was mostly empty. "How many students are within the school?" I asked.

"There are about ten students per grade level in this school. I am your homeroom teacher and I will give you a tour to let you adjust into the school properly." (Christopher)

At this point, Luke's eyes were sparkling all over the place with a big smile plastered all over his face. Somehow I knew this wouldn't be good news in the future.

"First of all, I'll give you your timetables for the remaining year of your grade level. It'll be hard catching up to rest of the students but as long as you work hard, I feel like you will be able to mingle well with your peers soon." (Christopher)

When I looked at my schedule, it didn't look humanely possible:

My free time started at 12AM! I wondered when I would have time to even sleep! I remembered from my past life that children at a young age need a sufficient amount of sleep to have their brains properly developed! Plus, I had a bad feeling that Luke would drag me out to "extra study sessions" in the free time period.

Sigh. How am I going to survive? Now thinking about it, I really like S-cla.s.s. It's just that I didn't know how privileged I was and I kept on complaining. At least in S-cla.s.s, I got to eat dinner with my family, now I only have one hour breaks in this h.e.l.l-like schedule!

"When does this schedule start?" I reluctantly asked.

"Tomorrow!" (Christopher)

I think I may faint. There was no way I would be able to survive through this h.e.l.l tomorrow. My past life of manga, light novels and anime seemed to be drifting away from me. Ahh. Those were the good times.

I was led into cafeteria first with small cafe like wooden tables and cute white laced chairs for young children. The walls were made out of gla.s.s and the suns.h.i.+ne ran through the building. The floor was reddish brown and there was strangely no staff were seen in sight making the food. Instead, there were flat tablets on every table.

"What's that?" I asked while pointing at the tablets.

"You order food from those tablets and the food will appear on your table immediately on the metal circle on each table." Luke answered.

No wonder I didn't know why there were no staff. This world seems to have some magical properties that my past life didn't have, otherwise the immediate appearance of the two worlds looked very similar to each other.

Afterwards, we were led to the music cla.s.sroom. Where Christopher asked us to choose one instrument that we wanted to play for the rest of kindergarten. Luke immediately chose the violin and forced me to choose the same.

I did play the violin in my past life and it was pretty miserable to your ears when you got to the higher pitches with the wrong tune. However, since I had the experience, maybe the violin wouldn't be as bad as choosing another instrument and starting from scratch.

We soon exited the music room and Christopher gave us a tour of all the remaining cla.s.srooms for academic learning purposes. They were duplicates of the S-cla.s.s cla.s.sroom in my old school. Why am I not surprised?

After exploring all the normal academic cla.s.srooms, we led into the dark spiralled stairs into the bas.e.m.e.nt to finally arrived in front of the mana training room. Christopher opened up the metal steel door that led to a huge open s.p.a.ce to endless white walls and floors. The whole place looked like a never ending white infinite s.p.a.ce.

"This is where you will learn how to manipulate and control mana!" Christopher started to explain.

"This is a cla.s.s that you didn't do at your old school, so look forward to it!" (Christopher)

After five minutes of looking around, we went up back into the stairs and were told by Christopher that we had free time to look around until 6PM to meet back at the cafeteria.

I don't know why but all I was thinking during the tour was where would be the best place to sleep without getting caught by Luke.

While Luke was glancing at the fancy paintings, I retraced my steps to the greenhouse that I saw during the tour. It looked like it had a bed inside so it was very memorable, since the greenhouse was made of gla.s.s.

I tried opening the door to the greenhouse to see that it wasn't locked! I went inside to see a bed almost immediately. The king-sized bed had white fluffy pillows with soft white blankets. I ran onto the bed to fall asleep soon afterwards. Ahh. So this was what paradise was like~ .
