"I know dhi took me with her and moved out from there, though I don't know the exact reason for that, I think it has got something to do with me".

Rahul pitied the little girl infront of her who always smiled brightly. He listened to her while she continued to pour out her long hidden thoughts infront of him "You know not only that, there were many incidents like this. Those fat uncles with pot bellies and bald heads used to touch us kids 'inappropriately' whenever there got chance at any events or charities in our schools."

She then snorted and said "You know what's worst. I pity those seniors who study hard and get special scholars.h.i.+ps through charities."

Tears welled up in her eyes when she said "Rinku dhi was like that too and she committed suicide but the real reason for her death never came out."

Rahul didn't want to ask her about that girl called "Rinku" but the question left his mouth even before he knew and he couldn't stop the words which left his mouth "What happened to her ?".

She said "Rinku dhi was an orphan and lost her parents in a car accident when she was fifteen. Her relatives left her in our school and refused to let her study further. But she was very intelligent and topped twelfth cla.s.s examinations."

"A man who owns a small company offered her a scholars.h.i.+p to continue her further cla.s.ses. Shw was so happy and we all congratulated her and took her as our inspiration.

That old troll took her to a dinner. Later that night she came to our school sick room (infirmary) crying. I happened tobe there because of a fever and saw her weeping so much."

She then smiled mockingly and her face is full of disgust "That old troll, douchebag he was already sixty plus or something and he already had a granddaughter of Rinku dhi's age, that troll actually took her innocence by force."

"I heard everything and I couldn't imagine and my brain didn't understand completely her words but my instinct told me that's something not good."

Preeti took a deep breathe and muttered "She died." She tried to act strong but her yaers deceived her and rolled down her cheeks. She asked Rahul "You know why she jumped off the campus building ?, not because that happened to her but for what our warden said to her".

Rahul looked at her and he was completely dumbstruck. He saw her crying but didn't dare to wipe the water away. He just sat there like a rock and let her puke all her emotions infront of him and he decided to be her emotional dustbin.

She smiled but her smiled gave chills to Rahul. He never saw her like that completely devastated and distressed.

"Our warden was a middle aged woman in her early thirties. She told Rinku Dhi" then she mimicked the exact words which stuck in her brain all these years "You must feel happy that he picked you among others. Not many girls get this golden opportunity. If you close your eyes for a while you will get to lead a complete different life."

Rahul was even more dumbstruck and Preeti said "She even warned dhi not to tell this to anyone orelse she might loose everything."

"After warden left the room, dhi cried for a while and only after weeping to her heart's content she became normal. When she saw me there watching her with confusion, she understood that I must have heard everything and a helpless smile appeared on her face."

"She came to me and said not to trust others and not to perform good in studies and in cla.s.s and also not to look outstanding or cute among others. She told me not to believe anyone and there are wolves out there who are living in a sheep's clothing and tobe aware of them and their ill intentions".

"The next day everything was fine until gatekeeper found her body at the back building. Everyone crowded there and I saw the same helpless smile on her face even after death and that smile haunted me, it still does.

But the worst part is they covered up that incident with the help of the school officials and they said she was in a relations.h.i.+p with a man and because he cheated on her she committed a suicide and they even raised their doubt saying she was under depression and stress over examinations."

But later her smile returned and Rahul sighed in relief. She said "But later, I don't know why our warden resigned and a new teacher entered our school. She was kind and cheerful and listened to our every story and all. She made sure about our safety and we were at last in safe hands. I kinda miss her".

Rahul was still in shock and he didn't knew how to react to it. He felt like she was a complete stranger to him, not the same cheerful girl. She was hard to read and understand.

She went into the washroom leaving the man dumbfounded and when she returned he took her into a warm embrace and said to the surprised girl while patting her lovingly "Baby girl, don't think all this stuff. Not everyone are like that. The world is way more beautiful beautiful than what you ever imagined. I know there are a few sc.u.mbags here and there, but believe me there are many more good men out there."

She pulled away from him and he was startled and muttered afraid to offend her "I am sorry".

She looked at him and said with a smile "I know there are so many good people and you are best among them". She winked and he smiled in relief.

She said "I just felt bad for dhi. If young kids like us suffered this much even under care then what my sister must have gone through, I can't imagine it and what if prince finds about that ?".

Rahul thought to himself "Now she is worrying about her elder sister, wow".

He said "Silly girl, bhai likes Shriya and she is his first love. You don't have to worry about her anymore. Worry about yourself and me ?".
