She washed up and came downstairs and saw Preeti already having breakfast with Rahul and Gouthami. Rahul greeted her "Good morning Sisla" and she wished him back with a smile "Morning Rahul"

She sat on the chair and the servants served the breakfast for her. One could see how the servants treats her at the house. Though she seldom stays there, they know she is their young madam and they never dared to slack off work in her presence or questioned her status.

She never likes to stay all high but she knew she has to maintain it for Abhi. She wants the servants to treat Gouthami with the same respect, so has even given an order for them to pay extra care and respect for her as she will be the youngest daughter-in-law of Malhotras' and she has their heir in her stomach.

Just when she was about to ask Rahul why Abhi was not back yet from his run, a young man came and said to Rahul "Bhai, Young Master is calling you and is waiting for you in the study."

Shriya looked at Rahul and asked "Isn't he gone for a run ? why is he in study so early in the morning?"

Rahul nodded and said "We have to go to office today and we need to prepare something before. So he went straight to his study after his morning run and after preparing everything we will rush to office".

She just nodded her head and went into her room after her breakfast. She returned with her backpack and was trying to call Naveen. She didn't see him since last noon. Sh had to go to college and she has some a.s.signments to turn in.

He didn't say if he was coming to drop her off at collge or not. She sat on the couch and Gouthami sat opposite to her. The latter said with mockery "I felt it's ridiculous when Rahul was explaining his office details to you earlier. I bet you didn't get even a single word of what he said"

Shriya smiled and said in a calm tone "I am sure even you didnot get a single word, afterall it's not your feild too".

Gouthami thought that Shriya will not retort but she did. She said with a smile which is very creepy "Don't get carried away by all these. Remember where you are from and if you really want tobe a part of this, you have to work hard and be worthy of him which us almost impossible."

Shriya smiled "Thanks for your concern. I will remember it and try my best".

Gouthami was irritated by Shriya's coolness, so she said "yes, you have to. Afterall your are not even worthy tobe his a.s.sistant. I am sure you have no a.s.sets with you and on the whole, your net worth is just zero. So you are completely dependent on your man even for your daily necessities. You are practically living off him"

Shriya smiled and she is not at all bothered by these mean words. She replied "Ah that's true. But I am happy. Not everyone gets the chance to depend in their loved ones. Now forget about me."

"Take care of your health and the baby in your stomach. Also if you accepted to get married, spend some quality time on choosing your clothes and the friends you want to invite.

I am sure you have to depend on yourselves for that as your man knew nothing about this stuff. Silly boy". She apologised to Rahul in her mind 'Sorry Rahul'.

" I know you are new here but you have to adapt to the atmosphere here soon. So stay home and take care. I will go ask the kitchen to prepare all that you need for today."

With that she turned around and went into the kitchen. Gouthami didn't want to go this far but Shriya's coolness irritated her. Shriya also never wanted this to happen. She don't want to be on bad terms with this girl but she can't let Gouthami bully her.

Abhi and Rahul were standing at the first floor and listening to their conversation. Rahul was trembling with both anger and fright but Abhi was as cool as Shriya. He looked at his brother and said with a sigh "It seems your woman has a problem with my woman. I hope they won't fight the same in future".

Rahul said "I am so sorry. She is one stubborn woman and I will teach her a good lesson."

Abhi laughed "Forget it. I know you can't. Its already enough that Shriya got back at her. Wr shouldn't meddle in woman's issues. Take care of her."

They stood there silent and Abhi asked "Why isn't she here yet ? We need those doc.u.ments right now".

Just then Chris, personal a.s.sistant of Abhi entered the house making sound with her high heels. She was wearing a beige s.h.i.+rt and the top two b.u.t.tons were undone and her fair skin is visible. She paired it with a chocolate brown colored skirt which is only a few inches above her knees exposing her fair thighs.

Gouthami saw her and asked "Who are you ?". Chris looked at her "I am Christin, Mr. Malhotra's personal a.s.sistant."

Gouthami scanned her from top to bottom and she felt that Chris was not professional enough and she gave a bad impression at the very first sight. So she asked "What's this dress. Don't you think this dress is a bit revealing and I think it's inappropriate for work".
