Rahul soon was interested in the gossip, so he asked curiously "What exactly happened ?".

Shriya said "Well there weren't many students in the college today. So we thought cla.s.ses were suspended because of that. But later we found that all the lectures a.s.sembled and held a meeting about this. Then they took this action after knowing about the incident".

"Those students belong to our department and so all the lecturers concerning our department are called for the meeting and to give their opinion. They discussed about the conduct of those students".

Rahul asked "How did you know about this. College gossip ?".

Shriya shook her head "No we planned to go shopping and was waiting for Naveen. Then Sony saw the news on the college channel and she told us. She was here last year and as they belonged to the same cla.s.s, she knew a bit about it". and Rahul nodded and said "Continue".

"It was found that last year at the time of the examinations these girls cornered a girl who is supposedly the topper of the college entrance examinations. They ragged her and threatened her not to write the exams. When she didn't do as they said", she stopped wanting to take a breathe and Rahul asked with curiosity "What happened then?".

Shriya explained in a dramatic way with a hoa.r.s.e tone making it sound like a horror story and both the brothers looked at her with amus.e.m.e.nt.

She didn't mean to make a joke or sound so hysteric exaggerating the situation but the past experiences of her own made her connect herself with the situation and she was involved in it while explaining it.

"Sony said that they hired a few boys who were involved in gangs and made them a.s.sault her. Though they didn't cause her much physical harm but the incident made her extremely morbid and she fell into a depression. Later she didn't get to write the exams and she had to drop out of the univeristy".

"It is said that the girl moved out of the city and is now sitting for the same year exam and she had to repeat the year."

Rahul nodded his head and asked "So how did this happen today. I mean why didn't they get arrested last year ?".

Shriya shook her head "I don't exactly but I heard that the accused people belong from sound backgrounds and somehow their parents managed to get their children out of the case by silencing the victim and her parents."

"Brahmini even opined that someone more powerful must have helped the girl from behind. So only she came out and reported the crime from last year. Know not only there was clear evidence about the incident but also a few other students came out to report against them, afterall they raged so many people. They are ought to get punished not matter how hard they try".

Rahul looked at his brother and Abhi remained silent and indifferent. Shriya said "That girl Aksha had a fight with me jyst yesterday and now she is in jail. She is paying for her sins."

Abhi said in a calm and an indifferent tone "I am sure they will rot in jail for atleast a few years, afterall it will come under Verbal abuse, Physical abuse, Attempt to murder, s.e.xual a.s.sault and also tampering of evidence".

Rahul asked with doubt "Tampering of evidence. Did she report to the police earlier?".

Abhi nodded his head "She did, but the police didn't investigate it further knowing that other parties have strong political background and even helped them to tamper with evidence because of which the case was closed and she went into a deep depression".

Shriya eyed her man with suspicion. She already guessed but asked to confirm her suspicion "How did you know this?".

Abhi didn't bother to tell her. Rahul said faking shock "Ahh, that's a serious crime..I am sure they will spend a lifetime in prison."

Shriya still didn't stop her suspicion and asked firmly "Did you do this ? It's not coincidental right. We fought yesterday and today they all got arrested".

Rahul smiled awkwardly "My brother loves you so much that he can't stand people who offends you. He stands before you like a great wall protecting you all the time." He complimented his brother so that Shriya don't misunderstand Abhi's concern.

Rahul eyed at her and asked "Are you angry at him ?".

Even Abhi was a bit curious to see her reaction and was a bit nervous. He know she likes to solve her problems on her own especially after she met Naveen, she became more independent.

She smiled "Why would I be angry ?Infact I am proud of him. Because of him the guilty are now paying for their wrong doings".

With that she patted her man's shoulder and said "I am proud of you my boy" and a wide smile appeared on his face which disappeared with her next sentence "But I hope next time you give me a chance to deal with my enemies on my own".

He made a poker face and seeing it she consoled him "If I really can't deal with him, I will definitely ask for your help. Promise. I don't want tone a sissy" Abhi nodded but made a gloomy face.

Rahul sighed in helplessness and said "You are being all lovely dovey again. What an eye sore". With that he stood up and went out.

Shriya also went to Preeti and after sometime she went into her room and found it was empty. She was about to ask Uncle Ram but the latter came to her and said respectfully "Madam, I moved your belongings to Master's room".

Shriya looked at him and the old man said "Master ordered us to do so" and Shriya just nodded her and walked to his room.

When she opened the door, she saw the room was clean. When she entered the wardrobe she was surprised to see that her clothes, shoes, bags and everything that she needed are ready and are neatly arranged on one side of the wardrobe and everything is brand new. There are her cosmetics, toiletries even the sanitary pads in the bathroom in the cupboard. His clothes and everything are adjusted on the other side.

Abhi directly came into the wardrobe room when she was going through her clothes. He took her hand and pulled her into the bathroom.
