They had lunch in a hurry and they complained in between about all the work. Naveen was unusually quiet these days and didn't bother them at all.

Shriya promised Brahmini that she will go with Naveen to her house and ask her parents for permission.

Soon after lunch they went to the office room and they saw Dr. Kiranmai was busy on phone. Seeing them she hung up the phone and cleaned the lunch boxes.

She asked them to sit on the couch and she sat in a single seater across from them.

She said "I am sorry, but I can't allot this work to some non technical staff. If there are any mistakes there might be a chance of small accidents. So I asked for your help guys."

"Final year students are busy with their preparation for the compet.i.tive examinations and for interviews and I can't disturb them".

"First year students are not so reliable as they are still kids and are not so familiar with the laboratory work, so I am counting on you girls with this."

All three of them nodded not sure what to say and decided to do their best.

Dr. Kiranmai continued "As I already said we are in charge of Chemistry department for both graduate level and also post graduate level. From the past years no matter how hard we tried we couldn't achieve the first prize for our department."

She continued looking at Shriya "You are in charge of collecting all the information of experiments, seminars and demonstrations. I already sent the circular and who ever are interested to partic.i.p.ate in the live experiments will give their name to you."

"And also go to all the cla.s.ses and ask for any innovative ideas they have. You are in charge of managing everything and coordinating between the staff and students". Shriya nodded her head.

Then she looked at Sony and said "I heard you are good at painting and stuff. You are in charge of decoration. Gather some more students and think of a plan to manage things. We will have guest and jury who will allot marks. They even considers the managment of labs".

Then she looked at Brahimin and said "List out all the chemicals we have and other necessary things for this event. You are also in charge of gathering up the volunteers for it."

"Once Shriya collects the list and the chemicals required for them, you sort it out. If we need to get anything from outside, we will buy it."

"Help each other and we need it to be a success this time. I promise to give you all extra marks for the a.s.signments".

Everyone were happy when they heard this. That semester's a.s.signment is a tough one and they had to spend some extra time in the laboratory and they had to use fire for heating.

As Sony is pyrophobic she is worried but if she acquires extra marks through this work, she will clear the a.s.signment without a doubt.

Shriya and Brahmini were also worried for Sony and they even promised earlier that whenever she had to go near the gas they will do it for her.

Dr. Kiranmai already knew about Sony's issue and she a.s.sured her. She said "I know you are best friends and you will do it together".

"Do whatever you want but remember to bring the bill. I have to submit it to the administration department to get the funds. Ask me for money if you need to buy something from outside".

"If you want, you can take help from your friends. I will allot them some work but the important work, I count on you and I don't want any mistakes."

Then she said with a look which is entirely different from the earlier warm one "If it's a success, I will give you all the permission for leave, if not.....". She didn't finish the sentence and went to do other work.

They nodded their heads and went out after taking down the notes. She sat in the library and discussed a plan to do all this. They first opened their phones and searched for some live experiments.

Sony asked "What type of experiments should we plan ?".

Brahmini said "Let's go with something simple."

Shriya said "First thing, it's for intercollege thing and outsiders can also visit. So we will make our post graduate students to do some technical experiments. We will go with simple ones. So that we will atrract those outsiders".

Sony said "Yeah, others don't know much about chemistry and they might feel bored. So let's go with something which attracts visitors" and Shriya said "We have to make sure the time limit should be less".

Shriya said "Let's do one thing. We will list out some simple but nice experiments. If our first year's want to partic.i.p.ate we can ask them to pick from the list."

Sony agreed "Yeah, I am sure they will come in more numbers and if they have any doubts we can help them out."

Brahmini who was observing them said "You two look so in sync today. Is that the affect of past relationship or the new one ?"

Shriya and Sony looked at each other and said "It's nothing like that. We are the same as before".

Brahmini sighed with relief and said "Whatever it is, Don't leave me out". She felt a sense of weird feeling ever since she heard about them.
