Chapter 330: Jealousy

“If we don’t pay her, someone else will. Early birds catch the worm.” Gu Chaoyan said frankly.

Actually, she liked Qing Niang. Thanks to her affection towards money, everything went smoothly. The most convenient thing was to solve the problems with money. She had a great deal of money anyway.

Li Yuanxiang let out a small sound of agreement and followed along.

Gu Chaoyan was confused, but soon she realized what Gu Ruxue meant.

It seemed that when Lord Ling offered to keep her company with the Department, Gu Ruxue thought that it was because of her seduction.

Gu Chaoyan wondered wht Gu Ruxue was thinking inwardly. “Gu Ruxue, it seemed that we were walking towards the Medical Department a while ago whilst you, the student of the Art Department, appeared on our way with Lord Ling.

“You even asked Liu Hanxiang to stop us, so that you and Lord Ling could make it to me. Why is it related to me?

“Also, Gu Ruxue, don’t ever forget that, you are just a concubine.

“Do you think that you, a concubine, would ever have the right to make Lord Ling decide who he should and should not like, and who he would like to invite to the mansion? Even the Princess Consort never interferes with him, and you think you can be part of the plan? You are not even his concubine yet, and you are now committing such a crime!

Then she left with Li Yuanxiang.

Gu Ruxue was totally dumbfounded – since when did Gu Chaoyan become so difficult to deal with?

Liu Hanxiang was unconvinced. “Ruxue, what should we do? They are gone now!”

Gu Ruxue stomped her feet. “What can we do?!”

What Gu Chaoyan said was right. The reason why she only dared to teach Gu Chaoyan a lesson when no one was watching, was because she was committing a crime as the concubine-to-be, namely being jealous!
