Mu Chang carried Ru s.h.i.+ all the way to the exit. Because he wanted to avoid rumors, he took the back door.

He felt that she had now finally relaxed in his arms. Her body was not as stiff as it was before by the time they reached the parking lot.

Mu Chang bent down and gently put her in the front pa.s.senger seat.

He wanted to make sure that she was beside him and could see her from his side. This was the only way to make him feel at peace.

When he let go of her, she stiffened again. She subconsciously grabbed the sleeves of his s.h.i.+rt and refused to let go.

Mu Chang gently patted her hair.

"I'm here, don't be afraid," he rea.s.sured her.

Then she slowly let go.

Mu Chang fastened her seat belt. He looked at her for a while and then gently closed the door.

The moment the car started, Ru s.h.i.+ spoke, "I want to go to a hotel."

The way she looked, how can she go with him to his house?

She just wanted a place to take a shower then think about everything.

Mu Chang nodded and replied, "ok."

She looked out of the window after his answer.

Mu Chang drove her to the hotel he owned.

When they arrived, he opened her door.

"I'll carry you to the room."

Ru s.h.i.+ looked at him and held his hand.

He knew that even though she acted tough, she was really a soft person inside who needed love and pampering.

Like now, she was really vulnerable like a ceramic doll that could break when one carelessly handled it.

Mu Chang took her to a room exclusively prepared for him.

When they got to the room, Mu Chang put her on a sofa and gently patted her head.

"I'm going to get you some water." Just as he turned, Ru s.h.i.+ grabbed his hand.

"No...I want to take a shower."

"Ok."

Ru s.h.i.+ stood up, her legs were shaking slightly, but she supported herself all the way to the bathroom and shut the door.

Mu Chang looked at the closed door and his face which turned gloomy.

He walked to the balcony, took out a cigarette and called, Li Yi.

The moment Li Yi picked up the phone, he shouted, "Boss!"

"I've changed my mind. Don't do anything to Feng Lu. Send him back to old man Feng and tell him what happened. Also, tell him that if he doesn't want his company to go bankrupt he should make him disappear and never return to China or appear anywhere near Ru s.h.i.+ again.

He continued, "tell him Ru s.h.i.+ is now my person so he should stop having any ideas about her."

After saying this he cut the call.

Mu Chang looked at the closed bathroom door, turned and went out.

When he came back again he had several shopping bags in his hand.

He looked in the direction of the bathroom again, Ru s.h.i.+ had not come out yet, and he could hear the sound of water running.

He looked at the time and realized that it had now been half an hour.

Mu Chang put the bags on the table and sat tiredly on the sofa, waiting for her to come out.

He knew that she would definitely bath for a long time.

He was happy that she was doing this because he has the impulse to wash the marks that Feng Lu has left on her.

Mu Chang sat on the sofa and time pa.s.sed by, and only the sound of water running coming from the bathroom could be heard.

Ru s.h.i.+ stood under the shower and allowed the water to wash her body.

She has been standing like this for almost an hour.

Ru s.h.i.+ wiped her hair, put on a bathrobe and looked at herself in the mirror.

She tied the strap of the bathrobe, blew her hair and when it was almost dry, she opened the door and walked out of the bathroom.

This sound was particularly abrupt in the quiet room. Mu Chang stood up from the sofa and watched quietly as Ru s.h.i.+ came over.

She looked wan but she smiled at Mu Chang.

"I made you wait."

"It doesn't matter," Mu Chang said as he smiled softly.

"I bought you something."

"What?" she asked.

Mu Chang handed the shopping bag to her.

"Pajamas and clothes that you can wear tomorrow."

Ru s.h.i.+ felt warm in her heart. She looked at him for a while before reaching for it.

Even though she knew that he had lied to her about his ident.i.ty and maybe he just using her, she just did not have the energy to question him.

"Thank you...you just went out and bought these things for me?"

"Yeah."

Ru s.h.i.+ opened it and saw pink pajamas with a h.e.l.lo Kitty on them, and some undergarments.

Ru s.h.i.+ suddenly wanted to laugh a little.

She imagined Mu Chang, this big man, in a woman's underwear shop. This picture was a bit pleasing.

"What's with you and your obsession with cats?" Ru s.h.i.+ asked as she looked at the pajamas.

Mu Chang stiffened when he heard her question.

A sweet voice rang in his ear, "Brother, look at this cat. Isn't it cute! From now on call me Kitten because I'm just as cute as it is!"

The girl chuckled as she spoke.
