11 Wasted Talent, Limitless Potential

I exited the office and went to where Bernard told me to find him in his office in the back part of the Martial Hall.

"Sir‌ Keleman, how has your first day been at our Martial hall?" he asked inquisitively.

"I have taken a look around and every part of the hall seems to be so full of splendor! I came because I have something to ask of you, Bernard." I gave him a smile

"It wouldn't be a problem to get my pay in advance for just today's pay would it?" I stated.

He seemed to think for a second tapping his hand on the desk before he reached into the air and pulled out golden coins from it.

" Sir Keleman I didn't say this earlier but I am the director for the first floor the Martial hall, there are in total 9 floors. However, normal people like us even as employees could go up to the 6th floor. I hope you enjoy working here." he said while putting the coins into my hand.

Before I counted I was slightly staring at his hand at how he managed to make money come out of thin air. Hehe, that must mean there is either a type of spatial magic or some kind of storage ring! I'm so lucky to be born as smart and handsome as I am.

I looked down and saw that there were actually 15 coins in my hand, opposed to the 10 I was supposed to make.

"Are you sure this is the right amount, Bernard?" I said

"This is your sign-on bonus, I was going to give you your pay every month but seeing as you need it you can have it now. You don't need to come in tomorrow also. Just make sure you come 3 days later from now." He stated.

What a nice guy…

I exchanged a few pleasantries and left the hall, my new Martial slip was now a deep red color and on the back, it read "Quality Elder". Even if I am phony it feels good to make progress this early on.

I made my way while fiddling with the slip in my pocket to the city center. While I was walking I figured I might as well see what the average is like in this city, in terms of talent.

System turn on the limit sensor!

[Limit Sensor Activated]

I looked in front of me at the middle-aged man walking a bit away from me.

It's kind of annoying to be told to level up every time I use this thing. Then again it is a good marketing strategy to put it in your face all the time. Not bad system.

While walking I used it on more than 20 people and found that they were all almost the same as the middle-aged man.

How could there be a level 20 or higher in this city when there's so many common-folk?

[The Smartest System forgot to tell the host that, in order for normal people in this world to cultivate they need a method. You can't just work out your mind muscles and suddenly be able to spout fire from your hand. You must first cultivate according to a method devised by someone.]

[Such methods vary in rank, the same as martial skills. However, these are much rarer than the martial skills. The most common body cultivation method requires at least 10 Purple Coins!]

[Not to mention Magic cultivation methods are even rarer and are usually two or three times the cost.]

[Even if the people walking here had any talent they would not be able to use it when they are poor.]

I thought this was some fantasy in which everyone wanted to be the strongest cultivator…

Seems that I was proven wrong, there must be working low-cla.s.s in every world it seems.

That also must be why the guards everywhere are only body cultivators, they simply can't afford to cultivate a magic method!

This is so heartbreaking, to see all of this wasted talent is like throwing away free money!

I will make an oath to all of you commoners with talent! I will help you all to become as strong as you possibly can, and even more!

As I was walking I became even more excited thinking about the prospects of creating a super-human sect.
