Acid, Boric: lotion of 1 in 50.

Acid, Carbolic: strong solution locally to aphthae.

Acid, Hydrochloric: concentrated in gangrenous stomat.i.tis; dilute in mercurial, aphthous, etc.

Acid, Nitric.

Acid, Nitrohydrochloric: as gargle or internally in ulcerative stomat.i.tis.

Acid, Salicylic: one part in sufficient alcohol to dissolve, to 50 of water, in catarrhal inflammation to ease the pain.

Acid, Sulphurous.

Acid, Tannic.

Alcohol: brandy and water, a gargle in mercurial and ulcerative stomat.i.tis.

Alum, or Burnt Alum: locally in ulcerative stomat.i.tis.

Argentic Nitrate: in thrush locally.

Bis.m.u.th: in aphthae of nursing children, sore mouth, dyspeptic ulcers, mercurial salivation; locally applied.

Borax: in thrush and chronic stomat.i.tis.

Cleansing Nipples: in breast-fed babies.

Cocaine: before cauterization.

Copper Sulphate: locally in ulcerative stomat.i.tis, and to indolent ulcers and sores.

Cornus: astringent.

Eucalyptus: tincture, internally.

Glycerite of Tannin: in ulcerative stomat.i.tis.

Hydrastis: fluid extract locally.

Hydrogen Dioxide.

Iris: in dyspeptic ulcer.

Krameria: local astringent.

Lime Water: in ulcerative stomat.i.tis.

Mercury: in dyspeptic ulcers, gray powder.

Myrrh: tincture, with borax, topically.

Papain.

Pota.s.sium Bromide: for nervous irritability.

Pota.s.sium Chlorate: the chief remedy, locally and internally.

Pota.s.sium Iodide: in syphilitic ulceration.

Rubus: astringent.

Sodium Bromide.

Sodium Chlorate.

Sozoiodole-Sodium.

Sozoiodole-Zinc.

Sweet Spirit of Niter.

Atropine: to lessen converging squint when periodic in hypermetropia.

Cocaine.

Eserine: to stimulate the ciliary muscles in deficient contraction.

Mercury: like Iodide of Pota.s.sium.

Operation.

Pota.s.sium Iodide: in syphilitic history if one nerve only is paralyzed.

Shade over one Eye: in children to maintain acuity of vision.
