118 Change Of Tides 1

He's not that naïve that declining him won't be good and thus, it resulted in this way.

He and Misha suffered the backlash but even so, he will be doing the same thing over and over again. He could not tolerate dirty business so he decided to hand it over to Mikhail. He was the one who fit the description of an Underworld King.

Beneath his smiles lies his cold and ruthless nature. He was like a sleeping demon who casted spell to bewitch others with his golden irises.

"Are you sure? You're not joking with me are you?" Lyndon could not help but scoff. He detected his lies and such lie could be used as a child's excuse.

"No... No... I'm talking the truth... I know how much you value your mother... and keeping her with me is the biggest mistake..." the old man is truly afraid of Lyndon's prowess. He knew that the young lad is capable of anything.

"Meet me..." Lyndon ended the call with that command. He could not care about his cowardly grandfather. He's just looking after the safety of his own mother.

The old man left with no choice but to search for Rodora. He knew that the woman is still at the country and she could not escape no matter how she tried. He was the one who called the shots in this country but then, he's just a p.a.w.n in this huge board game, his grand son laid.

"Search the entire country of Rodora's whereabouts and I want results in three hours!" he roared at his people which they immediately executed.

Rodora planned thoroughly.

She considered the entrance and exits of the mansion before taking action because she's not that young and her old bag of bones could not handle too much stress.

"Rodora... the take out is here..." Debbie's voice rang.

"Okay... I'm quite hungry... Philip go get the take out and pay it for me... I don't have cash.." Rodora said casually.

Philip could not believe that she has time to order take outs and eat despite of the pressure they're having. Even so, he wanted to voice out his inner thoughts, he could only comply.

Philip was about to get up when Rodora reminded him of something.

"Ohh... Don't forget to take the delivery boy with you.." with a wink and a smooch, she turned around and continued to fiddle on the keyboards.

Philip rendered speechless.

Debbie showed him the way out. He on the other hand think of a way on how he will invite the man on the secret base.

Well, whatever.

The delivery boy was already waiting outside the neighbor's door. Of course, they could not directly send the food to the mansion's door!

Philip scanned for any enemy in the area but then, it remained silent. There were some guards but they guarded the main entrance heavily and the back of the mansion was left open.

As he was a trained man, he moved swiftly to avoid getting caught by the surveillance cameras. He could not let any enemy know that he got out from the interrogation room and had been helping Rodora all this time.

When he arrived at the gate next door, he immediately called out the delivery boy and when he's closing, he jabbed the man to get him unconscious.

He dragged the man silently to the bas.e.m.e.nt along with the food.

Lyndon had been waiting for the old man for about ten minutes now.

After a few more minutes, the old man arrived along with a man which looked like his a.s.sistant. He did not bring an entourage of men along with him to avoid further conflict with Lyndon.

Butler Chen ushered him to where Lyndon had been waiting.

He sat on the leather couch with so much authority like a true ruler which he was always ought to be.

"You got some nice place here... I don't know that you owned a property here Mr. Lincoln..." the voice of the old man rang inside the abandone warehouse turned to a club.

"Well, you don't know many things Mr. King.." Lyndon could not help but sneer on his att.i.tude. He was s.h.i.+vering in fear when he called him but now, the old man seems to be faking it.

"Hahaha... I'm just an old man afterall Mr. Lincoln..." Lance King disguised his nervousness with his nonchallant att.i.tude.

"Enough! Where's my mother?" Lyndon could not spare anymore time. He just wanted to get over it and be home where Misha and his kids are.

"I... really don't know..." the old man still denied his involvement.

"Let's see then..."
