8 Maxwell's Point Of View

When I got into the office, Lucius was sitting at his desk with his head down. I walked over to him.

"Lucius," I said getting his attention.

I didn't give him a chance to comprehend what's happening before punching him hard, just not hard enough like Iris had done.

"Ow! What the f*ck Max!" Lucius yelled at me while holding his broken nose.

"What do you mean?! I should be asking you that question!! How could you do that to Iris. She's only been here for like 2 weeks. Most of it, she was in a coma. And you already cheat on her!!" I yelled at him.

He looked at me with regret written all over his face. Then he looked down. That's when he snapped.

"You know what, why do you care for her well being? She's my mate! Not yours! I can do whatever I can! Last time I was your alpha. Now respect what my actions!" he yelled throwing everything off the desk.

"No, you can't do whatever you like Lucius! You're going to hurt Iris. She's your mate and the packs soon-to-be Luna. So I have every right to care for her. But apparently you don't care for her well being," I yelled back.

We stared at each other before Lucius lunged at me. I quickly dodged his attack and a fight broke out in the office. Things got messy quick. Everything in there was broken into pieces. And I mean everything.

I was currently under Lucius. He turned into his wolf form during our fight. But someone came in yelling at us. Lucius turned over and growled at the person. I looked over and seen Iris. Sh*t, she's going to get herself killed.

"Lucius! Stop! You're hurting him!" Iris yelled, easing her way into the destroyed office.

Lucius, not being himself anymore, stalked closer to Iris, growling.

"IRIS! RUN!" I yelled as I jumped up.

She ran and the chase was on. I s.h.i.+fted into my golden wolf form, still running after a rabid Lucius and a very frightened Iris. We ran to the backyard, where I commanded the strongest warriors to protect Iris while I fought Lucius. They quickly came and Iris was soon behind them, fear written all over her face.

Once again, I was fighting Lucius, but in wolf form. I targeted for his neck, pinning him underneath me. He tried getting out my grasp, but I bit down hard tasting blood as it enters my mouth. I released him when he stopped fighting me and s.h.i.+fted back to my human form.

"s.h.i.+ft Lucius!" I commanded him.

He wouldn't s.h.i.+ft until I growled at him, commanding him to s.h.i.+ft again. He then s.h.i.+fted into his human form, not looking at anyone but the ground.

I looked over at him and shook my head in disbelief.

"Take him to the dungeons. Put chains on him," I told the warriors.

They nodded and did as they were told. I looked over at Iris.

"I'm sorry it had to be like this," I said to her before s.h.i.+fting and running into the woods.
