Chapter 797: The Powerless Ability Users

“Move faster! What are you doing?! This is not the time for quarrels!” Qin Feng yelled out loudly.

It was quite understandable for the civilian to be worried about this. If these ability users had lost their powers, this meant that they could not protect everyone like before. Still, these ability users still ordered them around like peons. If monsters attacked them right now, the civilians would be the first to die.

And naturally, the lives of ability users were valuable to the Human Alliance. Therefore, usually, the alliance would be sending people over to save them. Right now, there were many ability users around, including Li Yuanshan and Guan Shan. This meant that a rescue team was definitely on its way.

If they wanted to live, it was in the civilians’ best interest to follow Li Yuanshan and Guan Shan around. Yet, they did not want to be ordered into the mouths of these ultra beasts.

Li Yuanshan realized something was off when he saw the looks on these peons’ eyes. Their eyes were showing that they did not trust him. If they revolted now, it would mean that he would lose his authority overnight!

When Li Yuanshan wanted to openly deny their claim, everyone heard a loud voice coming from the front.

“It’s not entirely accurate to say that they have lost their powers. But it is true that the ability users cannot use their powers right now!”

“General Qin…!!” Guan Shan quickly gave Qin Feng a worried look.

However, Qin Feng continued on calmly, “So, right now, don’t expect others to protect you. If you want to live, you need to have the will to fight! The will to fight for your lives! Don’t rely on others. The best person that can save you right now is yourself!”

Qin Feng was trying to motivate these civilians to buckle up to defend themselves. Right now, no one had the ability to protect them. So, it was true that they needed to fend for themselves at the moment.

“They have protected you for half a century. So what if they cannot protect you for just this once? Stop complaining and get yourself a weapon! Go out there and fight! Fight for your life! You know, this crisis could very well be an opportunity for you!”

Qin Feng was able to recover his powers and abilities after devouring the mutated plants. As such, he guessed that perhaps this meant that these civilians could benefit from these plants the same way too.

If these civilians could acquire powers from this dimension, would this mean that when they walked out of here they could also be ability users?

This discovery could totally change the world. Thus, Qin Feng needed to be careful in handling this. Still, he too was hoping that this was a new opportunity for humanity.

After listening to Qin Feng’s words, the people who were more strong-willed were now calm. At the same time, the ability users felt relaxed too because they felt that Qin Feng was defending them.

Thus, he quickly announced, “Everyone! Gather in the city center! Tomorrow, someone would open up a pa.s.sage and send you out.”

Upon hearing this, the civilians finally calmed down. So long as they could leave this dreadful place, they were satisfied.

“Minister Li, Deputy Mayor Guan, I’ll leave these people to you. I need to head out to handle a special mission. I’ll meet up with you later.”

“Where are you going?” Even though Li Yuanshan was not happy with Qin Feng, he did not want to see Qin Feng leaving at the moment. Their powers were all sealed at the moment. As such, they did not want to let go of the only person who could defend them.

“It’s a mission from an S-tier. So, I must go.”

Qin Feng used Z as his excuse without hesitation.

Even though Z was an underworld figure, he was actually an ally to the Human Alliance.
