Chapter 1034: The Ascending Broodmother

Qin Feng’s strength had also grown exponentially. He had dug for four days straight. If he had not sensed the entire body of the broodmother via his consciousness, Qin Feng would have also wondered if he was still at the broodmother’s skin.

Qin Feng swung his Verdant Emperor Saber again, cutting open the flesh around him.

He had penetrated the flesh of the broodmother!

Showered in blood, the Verdant Emperor Saber’s blade began to beam out blood-thirsty energy, like how when it first absorbed the essence of the Bloodl.u.s.t Centipede. Wielding the saber, Qin Feng could also feel the excess of the energy channeled into his hand and body.

Qin Feng, without hesitation, squeezed into the open flesh.

This was different from the time when he was fighting the Glutton Leviathan. There was no resistance or attacks toward Qin Feng at all.

Qin Feng smirked, “Perhaps to her, I’m too tiny to be a threat.”

This was exactly what he needed though.

As he turned his head, Qin Feng realized the open wound that he had cut open earlier had closed up, signifying the broodmother’s rather fast self-recovering abilities.

Inside the body of the broodmother, Qin Feng did not see much flesh. Instead, he saw a wide screen of blood everywhere.

Insectoids were built differently from ultra beasts.

Insectoids were, after all, insects. About 30% of their bodies consisted of blood lymph.

Being inside the broodmother’s body now, Qin Feng did not even need to move around. All he had to do was just hold his Verdant Emperor Saber and he was already feeling power that was strengthening his body.

This felt even better than when he ventured into the Bahamut continent.

Now that he could feel its power, Qin Feng was able to gauge the broodmother’s actual strength. It seemed that this Armored Star Broodmother’s power was not really at Immortal level. It was an SSS-tier beast deity that was nearing Immortal level though.

“Is this thing a hidden Immortal? Is it aiming to eventually become a planet… or replace the realm itself with its body?” Qin Feng shook his head with a smile.

Insectoids had such a low intelligence that they did not know how to best utilize their power.

Then, a grim expression crawled onto Qin Feng’s face as he realized something.

Right now, the Armored Star Broodmother had already completely munched through the planet’s insides. Its body might as well be the planet’s core at this point. Due to it destroying the insides of the planet, the planet’s core’s energy had exploded, forming numerous minerals and resources on the outside.

The broodmother was devouring the planet’s energy from the inside. In fact, the realm’s core was right next to the Armored Star Broodmother’s mouth!

“Growl…”

The Armored Star Broodmother widened its mouth and munched down the realm’s core.

The core was about five hundred meters in width, a rather huge one! Qin Feng had never seen such a huge realm core before. And now, it was completely devoured by this broodmother!

Without its core, the realm had lost the power to stabilize everything in it. Gravity had begun to dwindle in power as the land began to tremor.

“Oh, no!”

Seeing whatever that was happening to the ground, Zhao Ge and Petalbrook’s faces immediately turned grim. They both were SSS-tiers; so, they had great experiences throughout their lives. They knew that this was the sign of a realm collapsing.

“Retreat!”

Petalbrook yelled out loudly as she tossed a seed onto the ground. A few seconds later, the seed had bloomed into a ma.s.sive flower. The flower then reached the ability users around Petalbrook and held them with its petals before growing upward and out to the surface.

However, the ability users who were not in her team were not as lucky as these men.

Crack!

A gigantic crack began to form from the south pole to the north pole of the planet, ripping the planet in half; the ability users who were still exploring underground were completely crushed by this!

They would not die immediately but this would still hurt like mad!

By controlling her flower, Petalbrook had brought her team out to the surface. Her flower was quite a peculiar breed—it was able to leap out of the soil and hover in the air, seemingly not needing any soil to live at all.

Boom!

The land crashed open as the energy of the realm’s core exploded out.

“Aaaargh!”

Excruciating cries could be heard everywhere.

This energy was meant to s.h.i.+eld the core’s sh.e.l.l. Its power was magnificently enormous and extremely destructive! With a slight scratch from this energy, some ability users were even crushed to ashes under a second! Some ability users who were much powerful, too, could not handle it—the power flushed through their body’s system and overwhelmed it, bursting every single blood vessel. They died as blood bled out from all their orifices.

The realm kept on collapsing. In a few hours, the entire realm had turned into a ruin. Then, a t.i.tanic-size Armored Star Broodmother emerged before them.

The creature had black, s.h.i.+ning sh.e.l.l—when it reflected the light from the stars nearby, it looked as though it was s.h.i.+ning like a star itself. Hence, its name.

Right now, there were only about a few hundred ability users left that could fight using their consciousness. Many survivors had already fled the realm after they realized that something was off.

However, the rest of them stayed… Even if they survived, there was nothing they could do. They were too powerless when facing such a behemoth.

“This… Is this the broodmother?! It’s going to evolve into an Immortal broodmother! This is not what I’ve been told!” Petalbrook said in surprise.

A broodmother that was about to evolve into an Immortal was not something to joke about. If Qin Feng had ventured on to take on this thing, there was no doubt that he was as good as dead now.

Meanwhile, Qin Feng was still absorbing energy inside the broodmother. At the moment, the sudden rise in the blood lymph of the broodmother had made it easier for Qin Feng to absorb its energy faster.

Suddenly, the blood around him began to flail around wildly as the entire insides of the broodmother began to tremble.

The ability users who were facing off the broodmother too had noticed that something strange was going on. The creature was very nearly ascending to the Immortal tier. Yet, it had not after minutes had gone by. Instead, it was squirming around, seemingly in pain.

Upon seeing this, Zhao Ge realized something.

“Petalbrook! The broodmother cannot handle the enormous energy that is running in its body. It’s about to explode! We need to kill it right now, stopping its evolution in its path!”

If this Armored Star Broodmother was in the middle of evolving into an Immortal, it could not afford to attack Zhao Ge at the moment. Not even if its enemies sent over hundreds of SSS-tiers at it.

On the other hand, it was still an SSS9-tier beast deity.

If one could slay it right then, they could obtain an obscene amount of wealth and resources. Not only that, they could also obtain that realm’s core.

And if one could obtain such resources, he could be as rich as a country!
