"Sorry sir… I am not here for that…" The girl turned out to be extremely beautiful. With her soft and gentle eyes, sparkling blue eyes and a matching blue dress, Tanya wondered why she did not spot her earlier.

"Nonsense. I am Clyde Colton, Marquess Colton's heir. This is a rare opportunity, take it and you'll be the luckiest girl in the world." The Young man winked and smiled. His long blue hair s.h.i.+mmered in the light. Just the sight of him could make a woman's heart beat faster.

"Sir… I really don't want to…" The blonde haired girl attempted to remove Clyde's hands from hers, pulling but was unable to remove it.

"Stop that. You don't know what you want."

The audience ignored the scene. To them, a handsome young man of good standing going after a beautiful girl seemed normal. Since not many of them recognised the girl as a n.o.ble of high standing, they did not really care.

"Please relax your grip sir…!" The girl kicked the man's knee, sending him backwards a step.

"Dumb b**ch!" Clyde clenched his fists furiously. Although in the presence of a large crowd, he could not let this sleight at him go unpunished. Without further thought, Clyde went in and drove his fist towards the girl's face.

PAK

The fist hit something. It was indeed flesh, just not the flesh of someone he wanted to hit.

"What do you think you're doing?" Tanya had caught the punch as easily as she breathed.

"Oh my goodness! Yuri, are you okay!?" A handsome green haired man with a monocle ran towards the blonde haired girl, pa.s.sing by a shocked Clyde.

'Plus 10 points to social standing. Defending a girl from a malicious attacker will always net appreciation in people's hearts.'

"Yuri! What happened!?" Evan came running from the other side of the crowd.

The scene became silent. Now the entire crowd gave their attention to the scene.

Evan immediately caught a glimpse of Tanya, having already released Clyde's fist.

"Tanya, did you try to bully my precious Yuri?" Evan crossed his arms and scowled, putting all the attention on Tanya.

"Oh? This boy over here-" Tanya pointed towards Clyde

SNAP

Immediately a hand smashed into Clyde's forearm, cracking his bones severely.

"AAARGH!!"

"Tried to a.s.sault Yuri." Tanya smiled.

"Oh, and you protected her? Nice try. You can't fool me with your lies!" Evan did not really care what Tanya said. This was as good a chance as any to annul the engagement and take Yuri for himself.

"Your highness… Lady Vermillion really did protect me." Yuri was shaking at the sight of such a scornful prince.

"Yuri, you don't know what you're talking about. Tanya Vermillion obviously set this up to hurt you." Evan reasoned.

"Shameful." The green haired man spat.

"Did you hear that? Tanya Vermillion is bullying such a beautiful and innocent girl! What is wrong with her? Does she really have no shame as a duke's daughter?" The crowd whispered amongst themselves.

"Tsk tsk. Your highness is really going to play it like this? I see, playing the hero to win the heroine? Such a cla.s.sic move, a cla.s.sic move indeed." Tanya began chuckling with her palm on her face, clearly a bit disappointed.

ZOOM

Tanya quickly appeared in front of Yuri. Smiling as per usual, she licked her lips.

"Young lady, I am afraid that I must call the guards on you." Tanya said with a serious voice.

"WHAT!? Yuri has done nothing wrong! Do not use her as an excuse to get away from this!" Evan shouted and pointed his index at Tanya.

"Miss Vermillion… what did I do…? Did I do something wrong…? How can...I fix it…? I promise I will take responsibility if I do anything against the law!" Yuri nervously exclaimed. With this, her cuteness factor was raised yet again. Her rosy red cheeks and her sparkling blue eyes could make any man fall in love.

"That's it! I, Evan Golde, Crown Prince of this very kingdom, annul my engagement with the witch known as Tanya Vermillion!"

*GASPS*

'Took you long enough.'

"You scammed me out of something I hold dearly. And you act so innocently despite taking it." Tanya began to act dramatically.

"I will take responsibility for this crime! What did I steal…?!"
