Prologue

She knew she was going to die.

She was frightened and kept shaking. Her body was curled into a ball, her black, grape-like eyes were filled with water, and her ears were listening for the voice of her master.

Her sensitive ears could hear screams from a distance; these people were afraid of death. Unfortunately, the could not avoid it. Tears streamed from her eyes as she sobbed. She was worried about him and wondered how he was faring.

He would always pet her head, hold her in his arms, and prepare delicious meals for her. When he was mad at her, he would always softly hit her behind. Then he would call her “a bad kitty.”

Feeling beaten, she angrily clawed at the water. Her limbs were struggling to fight back against the current. She was so close to him and was afraid of scratching him with her claws.

He was her world.

And now, knowing that she could not never see him again was much worse than death.

More tears were streaming from her eyes. Objects started to collapse until it fell upon her. Her body was exsanguinating, yet she was still angry. Her temperature was dropping- she still wanted to live.

She didn’t want to be separated from that man.

Reminiscing about the time where she was in his arms, it was very warm. That memory was quite nostalgic.

Young cat, you have to be obedient. After a few days, we will meet again. Remember, you are not allowed to be mischievous or else!

The pain from her bleeding did not matter. All she wanted to do was live. She still wanted to see his eyes filled with kindness. And to never see that again would be tremendously painful. No! She does not want to die! She won’t! She’ll stay with him forever.

Her eyes gradually closed, falling into the darkness, she only remembered him.

Master, she did not want to die.
