133 Asserting Dominance.

"Why did you killed him!? even if you were in fact, the highest authority here, you cannot kill at will!"

A well equipped mounted warrior asked from the middle of a simple platoon.

She looked at him, he was a level, two cultivators.

'Not value in defeating him...' She thought

"I killed him because he was in involved in the plan to execute me. He would take the absence of the alphas to raise his influence while keeping you in order. Why do you think he stood up to talk first?" Zhi Rui said steady and calm.

Her bright blonde hair move with the wind and her cold eyes stared deeply at the warrior's soul.

He did not open his mouth again.

No one openly objected anymore, but it was obvious she wasn't accepted either.

Zhi Rui sighed.

She turned around and stared at the three warriors at the third level who were waiting for her to come out from inside the library.

"If n.o.body comes to me, then I can only come for you." Zhi Rui said and pointed a them "The three of you, come together."

Two men one woman.

One tall young man had a mocking expression and wore a light silver plated armor. His lips were crooked up on a disdainful sneer. He was mounted on a tall hairless wolf-like creature.

behind him to his left stood a mature man wearing a simple red heavy armor, encasing his whole body. He did not look over thirty years old, his expression was calm not portraying any emotions, like a strick general.

The woman wearing a white light upper armor and a long skirt scaled with some kind of steel, Gave Zhi Rui a gentle but reserved smile.

Zhi Rui's eyes immediately ignored the disdainful man and focused on the two behind.

She smiled at them and extended her hand in invitation.

The disdainful man slapped his mount and bolted at Zhi Rui. The other two followed slowly.

Three warriors at the third level encircled Zhi Rui. She stretched her hand to the side. The first man still had his sneer in place.

When suddenly a wheezing sound came from behind and he jumped to the ground, leaving his mount behind.

He got up from the ground and looked at Zhi Rui Seeing the Warhammer on her hand and feeling the warm liquid on his ear, he clenched his teeth.

Her expression stoic, Zhi Rui lightly swung her hammer. The man jumped back

The wind that following the hammer hit him in the face

"Ack!" He closed his eyes

The Warhammer came smas.h.i.+ng down.

thumpf!!

It hit the sand throwing all around blocking the eyes.

Zhi RU smiled 'This seems like a common tactic in the desert.'

She leaned back. A long spear made of blue crystal missed her neck by a Hair distance.

Zhi Rui pulled her feet from behind and swung it upwards.

"Ugh!" the man grunted.

The sand settled. A lightly deep dent formed on the armor in his chest.

His face was white, he sweated desperately trying to take the air back on his lungs.

Now looking clearly, the spear came out from his hand. Zhi Rui looked at it with surprise.

"Stone bones?" she muttered.

The woman and the middle-aged man till circled around the fight not interfering.

The woman smiled and nodded. "He's a prodigy of the silver tribe. kin jo."

For the color of their armor, Zhi Rui knew where each was from, the communicative woman was from the white tribe.

The silent middle-aged man with straight posture was from the amber tribe. From the moment they exchanged glances. A simple understanding of not going all out was formed. She wanted to test her new strength and convince the people. And they knew she was the most strong as the disappearance of the Alpha's showed that. Being the most suitable for her needs on the whole people they simply went along.

Zhi Rui looked at the struggling Kin jo and mused how only he didn't read between the lines. She only needed to test her strength, there was no need to a fight to the death.

Their leaders had disappeared and Zhi Rui had now all the characteristics of an ancient true barbarian and she had obviously evolved, she beat up people on the third level while on the second; Now that she evolved to the third unless he/she was an expert there was simply no chance against her.

Kin jo gasped deeply. For a few seconds, he saw Zhi Rui waiting for him to recuperate and took his time.

His first core was of a raging bull it pa.s.sively enhanced his overall muscles and it evolved together with the person.

His second was the stone bones. it increased his attack and resilience.

A glint flashed through his eyes. He gathered his inner energy and wildly jumped on Zhi Rui while activating his third ability.

He flew right to her face. seeing the mall amused smile on her face made his heart drop a little, but nonetheless, he steeled himself.

Zhi Rui didn't move as the man turned into sand and pa.s.sed through her.

'Sand doll core' Zhi Rui thought 'using the sand in the air as a distraction while attacking from somewhere else... pretty standard and effective.' zhi Rui nodded.

Using her senses, she caught where he was. She raised the warhammer above her head and swung it down to the ground behind her ankle.

tuff! The sound of the hard hammer smas.h.i.+ng sand echoed.

A mound of sand flew ten meters away.

it slowly turned back into a man. Kin jo was coughing blood and holding his chest that was. .h.i.t by the second time.

"He's quite the greenhorn." Zhi Rui said.

A husky deep voice came from behind

"He's a pampered one, only trained and fought with the conditions of absolute win. It gave him confidence, but as you see, this method of raising has its consequences."

Zhi Rui turned to the man. His face was the same from beginning to end.

She made an inviting gesture. He dismounted and got down face to face with her

He roughly grabbed her by the shoulders and tried to pin her down. Zhi Rui crouched scaping his hands she used her shoulders to buckle his knees from behind, she palmed his back. Sending him to the ground she rapidly straddled on him and put her hand on his neck.

He sighed. "Your talent is unquestionable. you're a true barbarian." He said

Zhi Rui got up. He bowed and left.

'lackl.u.s.ter but enough for a small show' she thought.

The people watched wide-eyed as Zhi Rui had to run from everyone earlier. But now she was sparring with the strongest of the barbarians and winning easily.

The beautiful reserved woman was still atop her mount, a big sand-colored hound.

She smiled and slaped the hound. It bolted rapidly it gained some distance and started to run in circles around Zhi Rui.

They never broke eyes contact.

Zhiz Rui suddenly felt the air being torn apart and she s.h.i.+fts to the side.

Her eyes opened wide. A small spike made out of gla.s.s sunk deeply right beside her feet.

'She missed on purpose.' Zhi Rui thought.

Not standing in the same place she started running wildly and contantly changing directions. wherever she pa.s.sed a spike blossomed from under her feet trying to impale her. Zhi Rui observed how it happened. Smiled and jumped through the air.

She ran in the air like it was solid ground. And went directly to the mounted woman. Zhi Rui shot right in front of her. but before she reached. The woman smiled. "You're truly fit to be our chief Alpha." She laughed " I Rain of the neutral white tribe. recognize you as so!"

Zh Rui turned to the man, that was now taking care of Kin jo.

He looked at her "I"m burnt-wood"

As the three of them standing on the sidelines, Zhi Rui faced all the people around. the people who already lived there were astounded.

The people she defeated was the closest they had to a hero, even if she wasn't of their race, even if she' making up the story. the strongest known of them were defeated, and she was the strongest.

"Your old leaders led you on a route of compromise. Keeping their wealth in exchange for your misery. As I said time and time again, I'll turn the barbarians to what they were in their time. Are you with me?"

Her voice was calm, not at all inspiring. She didn't put in the effort. She merely looked at their reactions. and as expected.

"Yeahhh!!" The people that she brought from the poorer side was the first to clap and applaud.

Zhi Rui looked on with a smile. she always found is amusing to see people acting on instincts. they were condemning her an hour ago, now they were applauding her success.

their excitement was contagious and the others followed suit. With the exception of some high-status people, everybody was screaming with excitement, either because they truly believed she was recognized by the stele as one of their own or pure fear. they all rejoiced.

Zhi Rui's smiling eyes laid on Sandworm and Blue-amethyst.

Both of them and the siblings had their mood controlled to an always calm state somehow, and Zhi Rui didn't think much about it. Thus Making their plan a success.

They most likely were convinced to do it, if they didn't then they'd die. they were shrimps after all and not the useful kind.

She smiled waved and turned around. leaving them on edge.

"This library is now my manor." She announced while entering.

She went to the top floor of the library. walked up to a bedroom completely made out of wood. n.o.body had ever stepped foot in there. It wasn' possible to pa.s.s through the invisible barrier on the door. She felt a connection to it from the moment she a.s.similated the old man on the stele.

She tried to pa.s.s a finger through the barrier when suddenly a sweet smell a.s.saulted her nostrils.

Zhi Rui turned around, to a smiling Bianca.

"How's my baby girl?~"
