Chapter 183: I'm fucked up

{Dear viewers, the most beloved black horse of the championship based on public opinion will play another game now! Many are saying that they are the favorites to win the championship, others say it was lucky they got here, but incredibly the opinion of many who discredited the From Hell team started to change after each of their victories.

The players of this team were able to prove to the public that what brought them here was their skill, and the highlights for this team are BomberMan, with great control over his own Blessing that was considered by many to be one of the most difficult to control, and of course, Lucifer, who demonstrated to the public the power that a space-related Blessing has.

And as if this were planned, the Blessing of the second is related to fire, giving an even greater synergy to this team that with explosions of fire bombs and explosions of teleportation of fire has managed to destabilize many favorite teams.

But it is not only the From Hell team that is achieving notoriety in the championship. The opponents of the From Hell team in this match are almost on the same level as them. But apparently because they chose to have a more discreet profile, the Water Dragon team is climbing the rankings with consecutive victories, driving analysts just as crazy as the From Hell team.

Today, these two teams will face each other. Will the From Hell team, with their flashy play style, be able to face the Water Dragon team and remain undefeated? Or will the Water Dragon team use their water to put out the From Hell team's fire and send them to the Lower Bracket? That's what we're going to find out now, as the match is starting!}

The narrator spoke excitedly while doing his best to get the audience excited for this match. He himself was quite excited about how this match would play out, but on the other hand, the tension between the two teams was very high.

"Hehe, these idiots have shown so much about their power on the internet, it'll be easy to know what they are going to do. Victory is in our hands guys," a young man with blue-colored hair said with a confident smile on his face. This young man was the Ace of the Water Dragon team - a hand-to-hand fighter who wore light leather armor, but strangely was equipped with a huge sword that would be too heavy for a normal person to carry.

"Of course the victory is with us. With you on the team there is no way we'll lose, Captain! I even chose the color of the bike that I will buy with my $20,000 prize money, hehe," said a small boy with a thin body and a dagger in his hands. He was the assassin of the Water Dragon team.

"As much as the battle is easy, please, someone stay with me... If Lucifer comes after me I have no way to defend myself," said a chubby man with a little fear of dying to a killer assassin like Noah. He was the team's mage for Water Dragon, the former captain of the team, and if it weren't for their current captain, he would be the main dealer of damage for the team since he was a powerful water mage.

"Don't worry Chubby. Even if you die, the captain will kill everyone on the other team just like he did the other times," said a tall man with a bow on his back and a carefree expression on his face, also believing that victory for them would be very easy.

Hearing this, Chubby couldn't help but sigh. In the past he was the team captain because of how well he controlled his Water Blessing. As a Blessed Rank D, his strength was respected among his teammates, and because of that, the team had even been named Water Dragon in honor of him.

But at some point, the warrior on their team became very good. He had moved from a Rank E player from the bottom to the top of Rank D, even almost reaching Rank C within Valorwatch.

This sudden improvement clearly caught the attention of everyone on the team, and because of this improvement, everyone was happy to be able to win more and more matches together. But over time, Chubby realized that there was something wrong when they met in person. The warrior who moved up the ranks so fast was still the same person, his reaction speed was still the same, he was not training anything outside of Valorwatch, and wasn't even dedicated to studying the game.

This sudden improvement made no sense to him.

Because of the large number of victories they had achieved, the team went from an average team, to the top of the team classification. And along with the rise of the team also came the rise of that warrior's ego, which grew more and more arrogant until he reached a point where he decided he wanted to be the captain because he was the "most capable" in the team.

Chubby clearly felt bad about this, as he had won the position of captain not out of force but out of respect for the team, but because of how strong the warrior had become, the team members didn't even think twice and passed the captain tag on to him, leaving Chubby only as a secondary damage taker, and often, just like in this match, disposable.

'Honestly, I hope Lucifer can beat this boy so that his ego stops rising so much and we can be a team of 5 players again, not a team of 1 player and 4 supporting players,' Chubby thought, a little sad to see how their friendship was breaking up to flatter their warrior.

Noah, on the other hand, didn't think twice when the match started and ran through the desert ruins in which they found themselves. This was the scene of this confrontation.

At this time they knew that the enemy team was a team that had an assassin, but that he was very weak. Noah did not even bother to protect his own team, since he trusted them and knew that they would not die from someone like that, and tried to locate the opposing team.

"The championship is already well advanced, and as this time we are against a team with a hacker, I think it is time to show something more than [Hell Tunneling]," Noah thought with a small smile on his face.

He had been controlling himself quite a lot to not show too many of his skills in previous battles, but now he was going to use another of the skills he had.

At the maximum speed he could run without losing stealth, Noah caught up with the opposing team quickly. Unfortunately he was unable to use the Hannya mask inside Valorwatch, otherwise he would certainly have had even more advantage because of the 3x increase in Pyakugan's power.

From a distance he could only see four players from the opposing team, probably the assassin was already gone and hiding.

Unfortunately, Noah had forgotten that the player's hacker could do one other thing: see through walls.

As soon as Noah got close enough to the Water Dragon team, the warrior with a big sword looked directly at him with a mocking smile on his face as he said a scornful phrase: "I found you."

{Woooah! How did the Water Dragon team captain even see Lucifer in that place?! Lucifer is completely hidden between those pillars? Because of the low light that is in those ruins it is practically impossible to see something moving in the dark. As far as I know, this player doesn't have a Blessing, how did he manage to see Lucifer in the dark?!}

Noah was taken a bit by surprise, but he also did not want to let the opportunity pass by to cause great damage to the opposing team.

Quickly Noah teleported close to the team while, to the audience's surprise, his hand started to shine and catch on fire very intensely.

{What is this?! Is that the skill he uses to cut opponents?! Wow! In other matches he just let his hand go up in flames for a split second; now apparently he is no longer holding back! His fingers are apparently turning into sharp claws made of fire!} The narrator was getting very excited to see this, just as the audience was open-mouthed.

Many people believed that this ability was fragile, or required a lot of energy to function, but apparently everyone was wrong!

To try to understand what had made Lucifer's hand glow red for a fraction of a second in the other game, many players downloaded the replay and watched at 0.25x speed. But even so, because of the slightly compromised quality, it was very difficult to differentiate and say what it was.

But now, with Lucifer letting his right hand catch fire so openly with that skill, everyone could see that his fingers were turning into flame claws similar to the flames from his teleportation, but with a much more lethal appearance.

Unfortunately, on the Water Dragon team there was someone with a horrified expression. Chubby was feeling very well how hot that flame claw seemed to be, and even with the pain setting set to only 10%, he still felt it hurt like hell.

"Shit ... I'm so fucked!"
