"I thought he is still single?" the woman asked her husband.

"Yeah, that's what I know. But who is that woman? And that child..."

"Aren't they lovely to look at? I remember our times together when we were still young, honey..." she looked at her husband with full of love. Her husband smiled.

"Oh those lovely memories..." she kissed her wife's forehead and both of them smiled and went back to their suite. On the other hand, the wife is caught deep in her thoughts, then after that she smiled and resolved a final decision later.

"It's settled then, bring their things on the penthouse," he said with full of authority.

"Ahh yes sir..." the manager immediately motioned the bellboy to follow Clifford's instruction. "...sir, what do you prefer on your breakfast?"

"The best you could offer." Then he walked out from their presence at the same time Ingrid followed him behind.

She was staring at his back and still could not believe the turn of events.

'We? Spending weekend together in a room? This is in truth not a good idea. Ever since this man came, I have no control over my mind and emotions. I really have to muster my courage and focus. This should not continue. Grrrrrr. But why do I feel so safe if he's near despite the fact that he has been a challenging foe for me.'

Clifford was somewhat curious of what's going on Ingrid's beautiful mind that he could not thwart himself to look back on the woman following him. Her beautiful face showed blank expression, she keeps on blinking as if she is just walking there without any thought where she is going. She even did not notice his gaze. He then slower his pace so that they could walk side by side.

They entered the elevator yet still they did not talk to each other. But Clifford could not tolerate it so he initiated a conversation.

"How's your trip?"

"I—it was fine. Thanks."

"By the way, thank you for bringing Clark along." he said warmly.

"Don't thank me, I did it for my son..." she answeree defensively instead of giving him chance to warm her heart.

"I know right. Are you ready for later?" her heart started to race as if it's her first time to present a business proposal.

"Absolutely." She tried to appear calm and collected. 'I will not allow him to see any of my weaknesses, I swear!'

"Great! So, I think I don't have to accompany you on your meeting with the clients, I'll just have to introduce you to them. Since Clark has no company, I'll just spend my vacant time with him." To Ingrid's point of view, he already had planned this.

"NO!" Clifford's brows raise.

"This a command, Ingrid." He stared at her with determined eyes, she could not contain his gaze so she averted her eyes from him.

'Grrr... fight back you coward woman!' She scold herself but she could not.

'WHAT IS WRONG WITH MYSELF??'

Unknown to their notice while they were walking, those they come across with keep on staring with amazement, admiration and at the same time envy could be seen on their eyes.

A woman who recognizes both of them discreetly took a picture their backs and sent it to Vanessa Reiley and then posted it to the social media with a quote, "the elusive bachelor is secretly married and have a child?!"
