230 My Wife Needs Me

The young boy hurriedly obeyed his father's command and went to his grandmother running.

"Grandmom! Grandmom!" he screamed.

The old woman went out from the bedroom when she heard the loud shriek from her grandson.

"Clark, what happened? Why are you yelling?" the young child panted upon reaching his grandmother's side.

"Daddy said… to-to ttake mo-mommy to th-the hospital…"

"WHAT? WHY? What happened to her? Where's your mother?"

"She's in the dining hall. She threw up but nothing came out, only her saliva. Will she be alright grandmom?"

The old woman immediately took Clark's hand and went to Ingrid. Upon reaching the dining hall, there's no Ingrid to be found but they heard a constant throw up sound coming from the nearby comfort room.

Clifford did not end the video call because he wanted to witness everything. His son did not let go of the devise despite the difficulty and constantly talked to his father. The young boy showed him everything even when they were about to enter the comfort room.

On the other hand, Ingrid just wished to faint right that moment because she feels so tired throwing up her spit but there's no one around so she tried her best to stand up. When Ingrid sensed that someone opened the door and saw her mom approaching, she tear up and then after that she fainted.

"INGRID!" both Rose and Clifford shouted at the same time.

Immediately he stood up when he saw her fainted right before his very eyes. He's already in the office when that happened. On the spur of the moment, Clifford dialled the intercom and looked for Gary.

"GARY!!" he yelled. "COME IN, THIS INSTANCE!"

His personal secretary was just outside waiting for his command. Gary almost jump in his seat when he heard his beast mode voice.

'G.o.d! What did I do this time? Why is he in beast mode this early?' Gary wanted to cry for help because he knew he'll be in butchered the moment he entered the office. But then he stopped his negative thoughts.

'Why would I worry, I did not fall short of my work lately.' So he readied himself confidently and walks in the office.

"Sir…"

"Gary, we need to hasten everything. My wife needs me, I think she got over worked, and she fainted just this morning. Tell the board members that we will have a meeting at ten. After that, call my sister tell her to come here in my office with her husband."

After he instructed Gary what to do, he called his father and informed him for the sudden change.

"I'll come over there after I've done everything here, dad." He said in business like tone.

"Why the rush son?" the old man bewildered of his son's moves.

"My wife threw up just this morning while she was about to have breakfast. Good thing that Clark was there he was able to report it to his grandmom and afterwards she fainted…"

Upon remembering it, his heart skips a beat and closed his eyes. Instead of worrying, his father just smiled.

"Do what you think is best, son. We'll just support you."

"Thanks dad!"

That day was spent for the advancement of his plans. Some of the board directors opposed to Clifford's plan arguing that his absence might be a threat to the company and be the advantage of their rivals.

However, Clifford strongly a.s.sured them that he'll still be the one running the company and the people he'll a.s.sign are just interims. He'll be present during the board meetings or any emergency meetings.

His personal secretary, Gary will be left behind to be his eyes and ears within the company. He'll be the one to report everything to Clifford, everyday, while Griffith will be with them in Vienna for protection. Clark also requested that the body guards be with them.

The board of directors are in some way relieved but not totally since they could not oppose him since he is the major shareholder. They could only grumble among themselves.

Clifford then introduced the person who temporarily to be in his place though he could not use the CEO's office. After the meeting, he went back to his office to have a closed door meeting with his sister and her husband.

"Rhona… it's been a while." He welcomed her with a big hug.

"h.e.l.lo brother. And my… you look so much better than we last met. Marriage has helped you a lot."

"You bet," he laughed. "Where's your husband?"

"He's on his way, Tristan called and wanted to come here because he misses you so much."

"Oh yeah… Clark would love to have him in Vienna. It's a great place to stay. If you want I could give you a family vacation there."

"As if I could find some time for it since I knew why you wanted me and my husband here."
