211 Good To Be Back

Clark, on the other hand, went to the kids club upon his grandparents' approval since they're just around. He also noticed a little girl playing alone in the playground.

As Clark played alone, he kept on looking at the girl. The boy's brows knitted when he observed that the little girl wears some shabby clothes and even her shoes are worn out. He wanted to go near her but he hesitated. He then looks around to see if his grandparents are looking and to his delight, they're busy talking. Slowly, he walked to the girl's direction.

"Hi!" Clark cheerfully greeted. The little girl looked so surprise. "Why are you playing alone?" the little girl did not respond and seems hesitant to answer.

Yet Clark still persisted on talking to the little girl, "Can I play with you?" at last the girl nodded.

"What are you playing?" he asks with full of curiosity.

"Uhhmm, I-I'm trying t-to mold animals u-using this…" the little girl shyly replied and showed him dirty and over used clay.

The little girl felt awkward talking to the little boy because she's not used to talking with children her age because her father wouldn't allowed her to.

"Really? I know how to make one, can you give a portion of your clay?" Clark sat down with her on the ground.

The little girl is bewildered when Clark did that as she noticed that the little boy is not just an ordinary boy and he smelled fragrant, too. The little girl hesitated to give the clay because she feared that her father might see her playing with someone since he sternly told her not to roam around the area.

But the excitement of playing with a child her age goes beyond than her fear of being caught. So she smiled at him and happily shared some clay.

"Here…" Clark happily took it.

"What are we molding then?" the little girl paused to think and then her eyes s.h.i.+nes with an idea.

"Ahuh! How about what we wish to receive on our birthday?" the girl suggested.

"Why that?" Clark asked curiously but the little just shrugged.

Deep inside the little hopes that somehow when she celebrates her birthday, she could receive a gift.

"Okay, let's start…" the two children happily moulded their clay.

Several minutes later, they each formed their desired figure. The little girl looked at Clark's work which is almost done. Clark looked so serious molding a puppy while the little girl finishes hers. Upon looking at Clark's work, she hid her work fearing that Clark would laugh at her.

"There!" Clark exclaimed, then he looked at the little girl, "where's yours?"

Again the little girl did not respond and her hands are on her back. But Clark insisted on looking at her work.

"This is… a cake… you want to have a cake on your birthday?" the little girl nodded shyly. Clark could not believe it. "…I'll be celebrating my birthday the next day, I hope you could come so that I can give you my birthday cake."

The little girl's eyes lit up with happiness, "…next day? That's my birthday, too… can I really come on your birthday party?"

"Of course! You're my friend now, I'll tell my mom and dad to invite you… uhm, tell me your name first so that I can sent you an invitation…"

"I-I'm…" but the child could not continue talking instead she stood up.

"Wait, where are you going?" before the little girl could answer, she run off somewhere fast and he saw her threw her 'cake' and he saw that she's scolded by a man.

At the airport…

Paul Keller and Vanessa Reiley arrived. The two walked with heads high.

"What an exhausting, flight!" Vanessa grumbled.

"Did I tell you to come with me?" Paul sneered. "…I've exerted too much effort just to get an invite on that boy's birthday."

"Gos.h.!.+ You're such an idiot, I could've asked Cliff to give us." Vanessa confidently said.

"Ha! You're really that confident, aren't you?" Paul mocked her, "…you're just gonna blow my plan away. Please, don't ruin it, I won't hesitate to strangle you if you do."

Meanwhile, on the separate terminal, another man arrived. He took off his sungla.s.ses and looked around.

"Hmm… it's good to be back." He saw great improvement in the country after years of being away.

Then a uniformed man went to him. "Master, welcome home…" he just smiled in response and then wore his sungla.s.ses again. "…the young madam's been waiting for your arrival."

"Who are you?" the man was not expecting any person to fetch him.

"I'm your family's personal driver, the young madam instructed me to fetch you and bring you back to the mansion."

"I'm not coming with you, I have my own life now. So go away!" he sneered

But the uniformed man insisted as he thought that he'll be fired if the young master won't come with him.

"Young master, please… I have a family to support, if I get fired in this job, it'll be hard for me to look for another work."
