186 You Look Horrible

"How's my son Clark, father?" Ingrid's tears fell of its own accord because she misses her son so much sadly, she can't do anything about it because Clark is not allowed to go to the hospital for security measures.

"He's safe there. Don't worry Griffith is also there to personally guard Clark…" Clint wiped off the tears of Ingrid. "…all you just have to do is recover from this, dear."

Ingrid just nodded and hopes for her fast recovery.

At the mansion…

Gary and Clark are in the living room, sitting, and the man sweated profusely because of all the work that should be a.s.signed to him, why babysitting? Because the grandparents won't entrust the boy to any servants even his nanny because they knew that he could easily manipulate the nanny and would then give in to his wishes.

That's why Gary is tasked to look after him and he's crying inside for such a great task that is put upon his shoulders.

So, he just sat quietly, unable to move while Clark walks back and forth in front of him with a curious gaze. Gary just avoided the scrutiny of the boy as though he's checking something on him.

"Uncle Gary, are you alright?" Clark suddenly asks out of curiosity because he noticed that Gary keeps on wiping his forehead with his hankies.

"Ye-yeah, little master…" Gary could not help it but feels so nervous around his boss's son.

He's dominated with fear that something might happen to Clark while under his care and if that happens, he knew it would be the end of him. That's why he's occupied with negative thoughts that in turn, he doesn't know what to do.

"What should we do now? Can we play? I'm so bored, you know? We can't just look at each other all day… and my grandparents won't allow me to watch TV or use my gadgets and I don't have my books here. When will my dad and mom come back? I miss them so much, uncle Gary." Clark's expression suddenly becomes cheerless.

Gary panics because at the questions thrown in a row by Clark. He's felt so helpless. He has no idea how to cheer up a sad child. But his brother does! Without delay he called Griffith who is at the security quarters of the mansion.

"Griffith, will you come here at the mansion? I need your help." He lowered his voice and slightly covered his mouth on the last sentence.

Griffith and Gary are twin brothers who are polar opposites. Gary may appear soft but he has difficulty with children. On the other hand, the burly man Griffith is so intimidating outside but he has love kids and he loves playing with them.

"Why? Did something happen to the little master?" Griffith instantly stood up from his seat

When his men heard the word little young master, they also stood up and their gazes glued to their leader, ready to obey his command and all set to march down the mansion.

"No, no, no… it's not that! Uhm… I need your help to… to…" he scratches his head then stared at the small boy whose big blue eyes are set on him. He feels so embarra.s.s to tell his brother about his present predicament but he has no choice because he sucks at this kind of job. "…to cheer up the little master. He's sad and I don't know what to do… I really need your helping hand here… please?" and there's a little pleading enveloped in his voice.

Griffith's expression turned serious. "Okay, we'll be there!" he hanged up the call and faced his men.

"Men, we have an o-plan for today, that is, to cheer up the little master! Prepare now!"

He selected 5 men to go together with him. All of them are confused but no one dared to question their leader on what to do, they just followed him as he marches outside the quarters then to the mansion.

Clark sat down at the corner, feeling so alone, his lips are pouting flaunting that he's upset. Gary keeps watching the child and sees him like a fragile thing that anytime will break. He wanted to give him the gadgets or let him watch TV but his master sternly instructed him not to give or give in to the child's charm. The grandparents don't want the child to know what happened to his parents.

"Little master, my brother will be here to cheer you up…" Gary could not hold the deafening silence anymore that he decided to talk.

"Uncle Gary, do you dislike me that much?" the child's eyes are close to tears that make him to choke up.

'Oh G.o.d! What did I do?' he screamed in his thoughts. "Gosh, no. I mean, yes. Aghhh! Forgive me little master, I – I'm…"

Clark suddenly covered his mouth and let out a giggle. "Uncle Gary, you look horrible…"

But the child went still when he heard a commotion on the front door. Clark stood up and his eyes widen with surprise upon seeing brawny men coming their way.
