124 Practically Proven

"We still have no lead regarding that, sir. But I think, it's not a simple accident, it is intentional." Mr. Vladimir answered.

"By the way I am Nathan Pratt, head of the DNA a.n.a.lyst and I was the one who personally tested the DNA samples two days ago. It's funny, though, that when we were about to examine the buccal swabs from the clients, it was swarmed with bacteria which could affect the result of the tests. Luckily, I already instructed my team to get more samples from them, such as their hair and blood. And then again, we both tested the two samples, and the result could never be wrong. I will no longer hold the suspense to you." The a.n.a.lyst smiled seeing the excited faces of his clients.

The a.n.a.lyst motioned to his men that the papers should be given to Clifford and Ingrid. Mr. Pratt allowed the two to read the report first. He senses that everyone was so eager to read the report especially for the concluding part as their eyes were all set to the papers given to Clifford and Ingrid.

So Mr. Pratt read the report aloud to everyone's hearing and satisfaction.

All of them gasps in surprise and had different reaction as they heard the result:

Liane shrieks in surprise.

Helen and Rose cries out of happiness.

And their fathers are teary eyed.

Clifford grinned.

Lance froze.

Clark was confused.

While Ingrid? Well, she stands up and is gasping for air, her body is feeling hot and her vision grows dim, she felt so dizzy and then she fainted.

"MOMMYYYY!!" the child screamed when he saw her mom falling.

Lance caught her quickly and placed her immediately on the sofa. The women panic, luckily the team of experts brought with them their first aid kit and were always ready in such incidents every announcement of the DNA result.

"Oh my G.o.d!" Liane was shocked.

One of the experts immediately checked her pulse and looked at her watch. Slowly her pulse went down to normal, as well as her breathing.

Clifford immediately went to Ingrid's side, he tapped her face briskly. "Ingrid, Ingrid!" he called her name. Clark started to cry when he saw that his mommy is not moving.

"Mommy... don't leave me, please. I promise I will not be naughty again. Mommy, please wake up!" the child sobs as he pleads and had some hiccup.

"She will be alright, son." Clifford calmed his now declared son.

"Are you sure?" the child wanted more a.s.surance.

"Yes, I am absolutely sure. She was just shocked about the announcement. She will wake up sooner." Clark stared at Clifford and his eyes were full of questions, and he is still confuse.

"Is it true? That you are indeed my dad? It isn't a joke, right?" Clifford chuckled as he looks at his precious son.

"Of course it is true, no one will make a joke on that announcement."

"So, I can now officially call you 'DADDY'?" Clark blinks his eyes as it looms to shed tears again.

Clifford swiped the child's tears with his hands.

"Yes, son, you can now call me Daddy." Clifford also becomes teary eyed and he embraced the child tightly.

All of the people who witnessed the scenario between the father and son are moved to tears. Their mothers sniffed and hugged each other alongside with Liane. Their fathers shook hands and nodded in agreement as if they already agreed onto something.

John goes over to Lance side and tapped his shoulder. He could not utter any single word to this man who has been a big help to their family in those times they were longing for Ingrid. John knew that Lance knew where his daughter was located but he did respect his decision not to reveal her location. Because of that, Lance gained John's respect.

"Lance, come with me, I want to have a private talk with you..." John took Lance in the garden and he complied, his shoulders were hanged low.

...

"Our mission was a failure. We did not know that they were fully guarded inside the van and the driver was one of the guards, Vladimir sent."
